how did i - NOT - get arrested?

i am a university student, living on campus. here's the situation. by all common sense i should have been cuffed, but they let me go. why?

i was about to start studying when my friend called me up to play edward 40 hands. thats where you get a 40 taped to each hand and you cant use the hand til you have finished the 40. so four of us got together and did this in a study lounge (lol) of a dorm at night. we got very trashed. somehow my pants and shirt came off, so i was wearing nothing but boxers. this tends to happen a lot when im drunk, i dont get why. the others were fully clothed. anyway, so we decide to go outside for cigarettes. this is november at 2 AM, and i go out there in just my boxers (no shoes either) to the street for a cig. we were out there for some time, and it dawned on us to start mooning people, and cars. what can i say, i was drunk. so i pull down my boxers at this one car that starts to slow down. im still bare assed and looking behind my shoulder before i realized, its a cop! he stops right next to us. so i run! back to the dorm, but the door is locked. my friends just stand there and watch this happen. the cop gets out and and yells at me to get back there, and i do. he goes "i dont suppose you have any ID in those boxers" and asks me for my name, bday, etc. i lie about everything! fake name, fake phone number. he calls it in, and we wait. im thinking, im so fucked. but he seems to be cool about it, even though he knew i was very drunk, and i had just mooned him. another cop car shows up, now theres 4 cops. i hear on the radio "no liscense record" and then he lets me go. a little perplexed, i shook his hand and we went back inside and drank some more.

not too much goes on here. i cant see how there were too many other crimes that night that would make this one seem not worth pursuing. i could have been arrested for indecent exposure, running from the cops, being drunk in public, and lying to the cops. how did i get away!!! granted, i was very civil to the guy and apologetic, and he seemed like a swell fellow. but still...

btw, i have become a legend among my friends for this incident. fuck yea! and in case your wondering, this was on a TUESDAY

at the house blazin right!!!!!!!
and who knocks on the door, the damn police and my
brother whos good and stoned opens the door.
well they come in and off the gate smell green
and happen to spot a roach.
so questions r asked and i end up gettin caught with a small sack
and they just took it. that was so unexpected.

not all cops are assholes. they probly figured you were harmless

just cuz you open the door doesnt give them the right to enter the premise without consent or a warrant.

 

thats what i said but they stated they smell the weed and they saw a roach and they said they didnt need one because of probable cause.

 

wow...i wish i could get that lucky; be thankful he let you go i guess. i know i would be, but very dumbfuddled about it all. good break for real.
