download HiJack this....it's a tiny file, run it and post the results here, someone will help sort it out

also do you have "allow web sites to install software" enabled in the firefox options, if so, you should uncheck it and only enable it when you're actually installing software from the web

If you've tried "every option," why not just reformat? It's like cleaning and rearranging your room ... need to refresh after a while or else shit just gets cluttered and old and boring.

    hi....:)
    did you also try housecall....

    Code:
    [url]http://housecall.trendmicro.com/[/url]

If it does not give any resulsts reformating your hdd is a good option.

Try scanning with the following Anti-Spyware apps: Spybot Search & Destroy, Adaware, and Microsoft AntiSpyware

You can find all of these easily with google, and they are all free. It's always a good idea to use multiple antispyware apps. Many times one program will catch a piece of malware that the others missed.

Which antivirus program are you using? You should perform an antivirus scan of your entire system. I would also suggest using a web based scanner such as the one raysun mentioned above. You might want to run your scan in safe mode. You can enter safe mode by pressing F8 while your computer is booting.

If you've ran HijackThis you should post your logfile on a forum where there are people who have a lot of experience analyzing HijackThis log files. http://castlecops.com/forums.html is a great site for doing that. You shouldn't delete them yourself unless you really know what you are doing. It usually takes a couple of days for someone to analyze your log and let you know what you need to remove.

    Try uninstalling/reinstalling Firefox

Once you've done all that let us know if you're still having problems.

    Hey Everyone.

Thanks so much for the help. One of the only reasons I've stayed with specific forum is because you guys are so damn helpful

I ran everyhting, adaware all that. Didnt help at first, it seemed that it was reinstalling on reboot. I put the comp into safemode and checked my registry. Saw some wierd things in there that i got rid of. That helped alot at first, but the problem came back.

So i installed a program called Spy Sweeper that helped a load. It blocked access to a-d-w-a-r-e.com which was the main site my browser was being hijacked to. Even though it started to crash every once in a while it ended up working.

Then i ran Il2w i think its called which cleaned everything that highjack this didnt get.

So! In conclusion my comp is running great now and I have you guys to thank for it.

    Thanks again and again everyone.

    You guys are lifesavers.

    Theo
