If so you might be interested in this email that my university forwarded round: Young Artist Scholarship National Eisteddfod of Wales Swansea & District 2006 Please draw your students' and colleagues' attention to the above scholarship. The Young Artist Scholarship of £1,500 will be awarded to the most promising entrant to enable him/her to pursue a course in a recognised school or college of art and design or to attend master classes. The scholarship is open to any person under 25 years during the time of the Eisteddfod and born in Wales or of Welsh parentage, or who has lived or worked in Wales for the three years prior to 5 August 2006, or able to speak or write the Welsh language. Short listed ecandiadates will be expected to produce a portfolio of work and submit a letter of application describing how the scholarship will be put to use. The work submitted may be displayed in the Visual Arts Exhibition at the Eisteddfod. The successful candidate may also be offered space at the following Eisteddfod's Visual Arts Exhibition to display his/her work. Closing date 14 February 2006. hmm its a fairly well known and popular arts festival in wales hehe good shit with the funding tho, the arts council of wales are really great for funding and stuff like that!
