So, where did it actually come from? I've been studying the psycadelic phases of a few artists, I've been reading a bit about this... style? movement? ingredient?
But I need to talk about it with people who actually live it, heard it, possibily even composed it. What was the idea? It was some way connected with the hipmovement, wasn't it?

    Please, answer me! :)

Are you talking about music or LSD?

Music! You know, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Beatles, Genesis, even Black Sabbath...

Psychedelia was inspired by psychedelic drugs. If you ever listen to The Piper at the Gates of Dawn or A Saucerful of Secrets by Pink Floyd, you'll find that they are very cosmic. This was when Syd Barrett was still in the band; he was literally insane from chronic and heavy LSD use and was basically kicked out so he could recover.

Right, unfortunelly. Ummagumma is also a good example, Echoes too.
    Thanks!

Wasn't Syd kicked out before Ummagumma though?
