I wish my guitar would hurry up

Its soooo annoying waiting for something to come from amazon or Ebay etc...or anywhere!

I won the bid for this black Tanglewood "les Paul" style guitar and its sooo annoying waiting for it.

Its coming first class so should be here the day after the guy decides to send me the guitar through the post...

He recieved the cheque on Tuesday and will have to wait for it to clear or something my mum said....and that takes four days as far as ime aware (my dads a postman so i guess he knows) and I just hope the guy sends the guitar as soon as he possibly can....

This is sooooo annoying, I just hope it comes Monday/Tuesday time

 

such is life ... if you want it now you have to buy it from somewhere else .. you learn the rules before you play the game and you accept them ... then you sit back and chill as there is no point in letting something that you can't change rattle you .. whats the point? .. spend the time doing something else and don't complain for the sake of comlaning! ....

i could ahev got thatone or waiteed till october for a guitar for my birthday..
so i thought fuck it i love this guitar and its a bragin at half its price on ebay...sonow ime waiting a few days rather than a few months...but still its annoying lol

 

aw... yeah, it must be a bummer having to wait for like what seems like years, id get pissed off if i had to wait to get my bass... cos id b so desperate id have gone out and bought another one while i was waiting.. then id have two! oooh. but yeah, dont do that, cos its expensive

well it shoud be here tommorow...by parents are checking tier bank account tommorow to see if hes took the money out and if he has it should be here either tommorow or tuesday...

I knew a fellow who took his G&L Legacy guitar to his local guitar shop for repairs...I think it was something to do with the truss rod. They sent it back to the G&L factory, and gave him a date when it would be back.

He went there again on that day...no guitar. They gave him another date to come back on.

After that happened a couple more times, they gave him a definite date (he phoned the G&L factory too, to confirm it)

He got there on that date...G&L had shipped the guitar...but the store denied ever recieving it.

After much hassle, the guys at G&L offered to replace the lost guitar with a new one, custom made. Oh course, G&L being a popular guitar company, the custom builders' waiting list was as long as Mr Tickle's arms.


Finally, about a year after the entire thing started, he got his guitar.



So don't be complaining about having to wait a few weeks.

 

Ugh that happened when I ordered my tenor sax from Las Vegas in March! I had a big sax competition with my alto that day, and I left and they tried to deliver it while I was gone! I got back about an hour late and I was sitting there by the door like a dog waiting for it's master to come home... Drove me CRAZY! They said they woudln't deliver it after four pm and wait for another WEEK but it got here at about 6:30 the same day and I never once left the doorway! But when it finally got here the box was so wide it dind't fit through the damn door So I had to sit there and break open the box in the snow, then bring the actual case inside... Then the case come locked and I couldn't find the little set of keys! So I had to go find the box and look through 20 layers of bubble wrap and packing peanuts... Finally found them and then stupid me couldn't figure out how to open the damn case! I finally got it open and saw my purdy silver tenor... but then my dad told me I had to go do the dishes and clean the living room before I sat down and played! So I did them as fast as I could then I found they didn't ship me the reeds they promised so I couldn't even play at all! And it was Sunday so no music shops were open and I had to wait till Monday morning... It drove me fucking nuts!!!!!!! But I sat there and stared at the Alfred (the sax... yes... I named my tenor sax Alfred) all night... and ran to the music store 8 am sharp... Madness I tell you... Madness.

Well yesterday my mum was extremely pissed off because she dont really trust Ebay that much, especially since she found out that the guy got the money out of the bank on thursday and by saturday it still had'nt turned up...even if he just sent it the next day after getting the cash we would have got the guitar saturday or if he sent it saturday we would have got it monday...but the thing that upset my mum was that he had time to go to town and get out the cash, but didnt have the time to get the guitar sent to us....



anyways my dad (in a pissed off carslberg sipping yorkshire attiotude) asked the guy what was going on and the guy is sending the guitar today....and itll be here tommorow...if it isnt here tommorow i think my mums gonna be in tears because yesteray she was dead upset...she thought he guy wasnt gonna sne it and just keep the money etc......

well if the guitar comes tommorow then you will know because i wont post on this thread ebcause ill be playing...if it dont come then ill be pissed off...

just gotta cross my fingers now

Well the guitar never turned up yesterday and it was sent tuedsay for next day delivery....but it depends what time he sent the package monday...if he missed the half day thing then it should come today....


If it doesnt come today then my parents are ringing the police because like ive said he took the money out of ther bank thursday and hes had time to post the thing, and only after we hasstled him with an e-mail did he decide to send it....

maybe the guitar not turning up yesterday was just a coicidence...maybe he missed the dead line for next day delivery on that day...but then again maybe he didnt.

Aw your poor thing I hope the thing finally hurries up... I absolutley hate it when you get your hopes up so high about something like that (ESEPICALLY music) and then it doesn't come through! ARG! Good luck man, I'll certainlly keep my fingers crossed :&

well the guys been having trouble getting suitable packaging etc and now hes got it (its just a shame he didnt let me know a few days ago when i was sat waiting al fucking day)

Well, I'll keep my fingers crossed for that. I am a guitar technician myself and have learned the art of luthiery and worked for a guitar shop for three months and handbuilt some of my own electric guitars... I love guitars... this deserves a plug for my music site.

Yeah, the only thing worse than waiting for something like that is not knowing if the guy is really gonna send it or not. I'll buy stuff online, but I never buy instruments. Not till I play the one I'm gonna buy. You should try out anything(instrument/effect-wise) before you buy it. Well, I hope it gets there safe.

 

my guitar comes September 27 ... and it won't even be mine I have to share it.

now I'm all for sharing and stuff, but I really would like to have it as my own. It's the kind of thing you get attached to you know? ahh... seems a large family shares everything!

oh but sweet anticipation! It's kind of nice, the waiting. Makes for good dreams. Just dream of being able to play it when it finally arrivies...

well it didnt come saturday, and the guy said at the latest monday...it didnt come yesterday either....


this is wierd, because anything to do with the police scares me (ime not against them or anything, they just scare me sometimes if you know what i mean?) but basically if it dont come today then the guys in deep shit with the Ebay guy wholl send the guy some kind of "hurry the fuck up arsehole" message....

its pissed em off aswell because ive found my power plug for my really far out effects pedal and it has the "come as you are" sound on it that Kurt Cobain used..and also ive just learned aneurysm by nirvana which is really good to play on guitar with a distortion pedal...

 

I wouldnt worry too much.. sometimes it takes me weeks to recieve stuff off ebay...

it came on tuesday and i been playing it all the time apart from sleeping and eating etc...


went to my friends house and set the microphone up and my amp/pedals etc and he played drums and i proberbly had the best jamming session ever..

we did loads of nirvana covers, including love buzz and lythium....so in was ina really good mood yesterday..

shame i went home with a very sore throat from the love buzz chorus' grrr
