Sorry for such a dumb question, but my friends and I just recently started using pot, and we want to make sure we don't get ripped off. How much does it usually cost per gram (in the United States)?
It all kinda depends on where you live, the quality, the dealer all that. I live in indiana and our prices are pretty high. I pay $50 for an eighth or about 3 1/2 gram and $100 for 7 grams for dank shit.
where I live its usually $25 for an eighth, but i got them for $15 to 20. an ounce is $100, but i never bought that much at one time
What state do you live in Soulrebel? And a question for anyone: How do pot dealers make their money? Do they all grow it themselves? If not, how come they can buy it at less than market value?
i live in wisconsin. and this is what my main dealer told me. he would buy weed $15 to $20 an eighth(he wouldnt buy eighths, but you know) and he had so many buyers, that he could sell me eighths at his price and still make lots of money off weed. but I was also really good friends with him, I was the only person he sold like that too. and man, you sound very suspicious
Sorry I'm not trying to be suspicious, I'm just new at this and I want to be able to get pot for my friends and myself fairly cheap... I know these are probably stupid questions, but we really are clueless when it comes to this sort of thing.
what state do you live in? and do you live in a rural or urban area? and sorry for the accusations, i was recently busted and i get pretty suspicious
I'm from the suburbs of Dayton, Ohio. Any idea how much it'd go for around here? Would it probably be about the same as the guy from Indiana said, or does it vary a lot from city to city? No problem BTW; sorry to hear that you got busted.
hmm, never really lived in the suburbs before. but when I lived in NYC average weed was $20 an eighth, its usually cheaper in and around big cities. Im guessing itd be be $25 to $30 an eighth where you live. but good shit costs anywhere from $50 an eighth and up
Depends on your location, your dealer and the quality of pot. I get dank ass eighths for around $50 and ounces of shwag for about the same price.
to answer your question there atre two types of dealers too, growers and middlemen. growers do jsut that, they grow. they have more to loose if theyre caught, and have more of a job on their hands, but get much more profit. middlemen buy large amounts of weed and therefor get it at a cheaper price (bulk = cheap) and usually get discounts form their growers, or furhter middlement, and then sell small amounts (which cost more per gram or wahtever). i hope you understand that. does anyone else knowq any other kinds of dealers?
LOL god why did you even start this form we all had questions our first time, it all depends on who you know. lol i thought it was funny how you "use pot" lol omg
I pay $10 per gram, $30 for an eighth, $60 for a quarter and $100 for a half oz (Canadian). Prices never fluctuate, pretty good friends with my dealer so the counts are always good as is the quality, not to mention whenever I go there I usually walk into a session. Peace - J
first of all, let me start off by saying that where im from, i have almost never heard the term eighth's being applied for weed measuring purposes. Not to say that i havn't been smoking for a long time ( since i was 9) but it seems as though this were a strictly american thing. Also, all of this talk of dank and schwag seems very funny to me because i never really understood the notion of dealers selling lees than high quality before. I live in ontario and the scaling usually the scaling goes something like this : you get about 2 or 3 joints from a gram, if you are lucky, but even if it doesn't roll out it doesn't really matter cuz it's always weighed out in front of me anyways. The weed is either measured in g's (grams) or quarters (7 grams) halves (14) and full o's (28 grams/one ounce). then so on into the quarter p's half p's and full p's (pounds). And I havn't even been able to by anything that was remotely substandard since i was in like grade 9. It also confuses me how people can state the price of weed in their area with such confidence, i imagine any place would work like it does around here in that the prices would vary depending on who you know and how high up the chain the dealer is, starting from who grew the stuff. Anyways, to add my info i would say that for 5$ one should always get at least 0.5 grams. 104 for a full. and quarters (7 grams) are usually never more than 50-60$, fifty for me, and you get large discounts depending upon how big you buy. for instance when i would buy a pound let's say, i could get it for about 16-1800$ depending upon how good it is for outdoor, although it is always pretty good. and maybe the same or a few hundred more for a full pound. half ounces are usually from80-100$ and ounces from 150-200$. i know i can go on and on sometimes but i hope i was informative. your neighborhood friendly reaperman!
holy shit dude, i live right near you. okay here goes joint (or equivalent amount)-$5 or $6 if you wanna get "hooked up" dime bag-$10 15 sack- self explanitory eighth-25 to 35 depending on quality now this is how it goes usually in troy which is a ways north of dayton (obviously). ill ask around on some prices on the higher lol! quantities and get back to you
$10- gram $25- 8th $40-50 1/4 $70- 1/2 oz $120-170- Oz (depending on who its from) - all these prices are for mid grade bud
Shit where I live you get an eighth for $20, a quarter for $40, an ounce for $120 then if ya want some of the hydro shit then it'll go between $50-60. But really it depends on who your dealer is and how long you've known them, if where your living is occassionally wet or dry you know!
I live in Nebraska and i have some good connections so i pay $15 1/8 $30 1/4 $60 1/2 $100 ounce i dont really buy any thing high than an ounce because i only smoke like 2-3 bowls a day.
