Alright we had mentioned possibly trying for a group rate discount for airfare. Seeing as I am having financial worries at the moment this idea is getting more and more appealing. What will it require? Must we travel on the same days? I'd assume we'd have to all use the same airline? If the restrictions do not make it impossible I'd sure like to see if we could work this angle. My best bet is Continental........ So speak up people, who would be your prefered airline carrier. I may be able to make it for queensday but i'll have leave shorty after (close to the first of may) so i'd be better off arriving a few days before the celebration and leaving shortly after (7 nights total) Lets get the brainstorming going! P.S. I have a great apartment booked already that sleeps up to 6. I will be going with atleast 2 others. That leaves 2-3 empty beds so PM me if your interested!
Hey Koopa and all!! Of course Nancy and I will be there for queensday and the 2nd anniversary hip forums tye dye dekuil crew meet on Friday. So far crew members going are ispica +1, ictricity +1, mikeymike +?, maybe yogi and yourself +2. That was a cool meet we had last year and can't wait for next year to come. I will look into group rates on flights but there are a couple of problems doing that. First of all everyone is scattered all over the U.S......Boston, Florida, South Dakota, Connecticut, Georgia etc.. we would have to all leave from the same place....logistics suck on this one. Then everybody has to leave on the same day. I'm leaving on the 25th of April since I've already rented the houseboat again from the 26th to May 3rd. Make sure you hit up our queensday houseboat get together next year, you never made it over last year, makes for great pit stops to eat, drink and smoke and the location was excellent. I also need to know who's on board for the queensday daytripper cruise I've been in contact with them since their website went down and I will need to know just how many are down for what will be the highlight of queensday....just ask ictricity!! So where's your apartment koopa? mopperm1: the apartment is 1 minute from the niewmarkt, east of the gelderskade (sp?) canal so it should be VERY CLOSE to your houseboat. Houseboat party is a definate this year my man!!! As for the Group Rate: FORGET IT....logistical nightmare is an understatement. Ticket prices are starting to drop a bit.....contintental still wants $570 roundtrip as of now but NWA has a $502 they have just made available. SWASW1: damn right your welcome......the group assembled last year at de Kuil on a specific date at a specific time. I'm sure thats what will go down this year as well.
As if it needs to be said.... I will definitely be there for our "annual" meet at De Kuil; With bells on, or at least bells ringin' in my ears. All up for the choicest of cruises that are to be had in Amsterdam on Queensday as well! Glad to see so many familiar faces are planning on the same. As Koopa has mentioned, ANYone and EVERYone is welcome to partake in the festivities, at least as far as I am concerned. If anyone feels different they can reply whenever they feel fit. Apartment will be in the Grachtengordel and will be close enough to get over to the houseboat in a timely fashion. Look forward to the next par-tay de houseboat come 2006. Hello all, wuz up. I will try to make qday in 06 but here is the 411 on me. Wilma, direct hirect, CAT 3 STORM. I have collapsed, leaking ceiling. Most of my living room is gone, kitchen leaking, small office room, leaking. This is the worst time in my life now. Fema called, application for grant in process, maybe. Car issues as well, at shop, fuel pump? We will see. Trip in Nov, CXLD of course, financial issues for the next year or so, but I will need to go in April, need to hang with all my piggy american friends.. Nancy, 1 order of shrooms please. damn mikey so sorry to hear that bro........ hope everything turns around for the better and quickly! I too am shooting for QD06 despite my troubles. I really don't even know if I'll be there yet but hopefully we will all make it, have a beer and a smoke together, and enjoy life for a while! koopa P.S. i may be in need of a room mate for QD06. The 2 i was going to go with can't make it and i really don't want to go dorm style. I usually rent apartments and have a bunch of good ones in mind but i can't swing that with a party of 1. so if anybody is down for a paying roommate let me know
