Depends how mature they are, the white and greenish ones ussually dont work and if they do the plant really eats shit ussually. And from what I hear the really black ones have dead embryos(you know, that thing that causes the seed to produce a plant). You wanna look for the real nice brownish ones with lines or "designs" on them, I had 9 of those and so far only 1 never sprouted. I havnt planted them all , i have 4 left and I think that atleast 3 of those should sprout for me.
holy shit that was a fast post i think i clicked refresh and bam... do you live on this forum? lol jk thanks
bagseed is a real mixed result endeavor. a lot of potency, yeild, etc. is dictated by genetics, and the seeds may be that of a good strain that just got quality reduced by packing, or it could just be shit.
Potency/yield ussually depends on the growers Enviornment. If the grow is indoor the enviornment the plant originated in is ussually imitaded as accuratly as possible, Outdoor grows do that on thier own. the seed only verifys by genetics on how good it will sprout, how much Nutes it could withtake, how long it will live etc; Genetics are only garunteed to germinate and grow a good yield. Potency is usually derived by how the grower treats the plant...in my own opinion.
im gonna hijack this thread as it is the closest to my question. Ive heard lots of stories on how to germinate seeds, i have my setup all ready to go, but what truly is the best way to germinate seeds?
Your opinion is wrong. If you grow a plant from shitty bag seed, under the best of conditions and harvest/dry/cure, it will be better that the bag it came from (generally). But if you think you're gonna get AK-47 quality from schwag seeds, you're wrong. Why do you think people pay up to $500.00 for a pack of 10 seeds?
a good way to check is to firmly pinch the seed between thumb and pointing finger. if it cracks, it is bad. a good practice is to check your bag when you buy it, and any seeds you have, refridgerate inside of a film canister (sterile) with a label with information you have about the strain. that is what I do. also, for future reference, if you want- you can take a fine sandpaper and scratch the edges of the seed shell, it will make sprouting easier for seeds which have thicker/denser shells. good luck to you.
