High heeled shoes and women

Ok I see some high heeled shoes on women and for sale in shops where the heel is SOO high and sometimes really thin that I would think that its impossible for a woman to walk around in. Some high heels women might as well be walking around on their toes alone like Ballet dancers do when their dancing.

I was just wondering how many women out there actually find such high heeled shoes to totally screw up their back (or posture), make it hard for them to walk, put strain on their feet, ankles, legs etc..

Look at any four-legged creature and they almost appear to be walking on what we could consider "tippy toes". High heels are merely a nostalgic reminder of our past and we should all put on a pair once in a while and reminisce. And lick our asses.

Thats very interesting 2 woman already who dont like wearing high heeled shoes yet when I go to shopping centre's there are so many wearing them.

I think they can look hot but I've yet to find the patience to learn how to walk in them. And I like having the freedom of being able to change from sidewalk to carpet to sand to rocks without worrying about something on my feet holding me back. Shoes were made to expand our terrain, not hinder it.

 

True, I don't think you'll get a correctly representative sample of the average consumer from Hipforums.

 

WOW ! Never thought of that going from sidewalk to sand, rocks. A woman would be limited.

i dont like heels - i only wear them if i have to lol. They fuck up feet and posture to much i saw someone with really big one and i was wtf it doesnt look good love lol. She couldn't case me either lol.

 

I love heels. Im only 5 foot tall so i always wear 3 inchers so i actually get seen and dont get trampled on. I cant wear those really thin ones though...tried and they defeated me. God knows how youre supposed to do it.

I see things like this all the time, it is funny to me what sacrifices people make to be "fashionable". People are more worried about looking good than they are about their own health and comfort

 

Seeing as I have scoliosis, my back is already screwed up with or without high heels.
I gave up wearing high heels about 19-20 yrs ago.

 

i am horribly short and wear heels to work, not pumps those are the high heels... my heels are like an inch to an inch and a half...Pumps are the what the high ones are called..or spiked heels..
my mom bought me these pair of hooker shoes a while ago, they are like a 4 inch heel.. i wear them around the house to feel tall and to get stuff out of cabinets so I dont have to stand on a chair or counter... but i dont dare wear them out cause id fall on my ass and they hurt my feet like hell...
but if people want to wear them, then so be it.. who are people to say that people wear things for a certain reason.. they are shoes people

 

I love platforms, but I can't walk in regular stick (pump/spiked) heels. Forget it.

Wearing platforms with a good sole on them, I can still chase after my kids.

I'm another shortie, so adding some height occasionally is nice. Even in platforms, I still tend to be shorter than a lot of people though. *lol*

 

Well, I was watching HHB & Dilli's baby goats learning to walk on a slick plywood floor, and noticed a resemblance to young teen girls trying to learn to walk in heels.

Note to parrents: If you don't like your daughters wearing "Hooker Shoes", tell 'em they make 'em look sexy as a goat.

I don't even wear flat shoes...let alone high heels. Forget it.

 

I have a couple pairs of heels. they're sexy, but they're sitting shoes - I can't walk around in them fo rany length of time. I used to wear only platforms or heels (hey, I'm 5'1") but now I just wear shoes that are comfy, regardless of their height. I do have a pair of boots with a 3.5" heel, a pair of sandals with a 4" heel, and a pair of pumps with a 3" heel. I don't wear any of them regularly, they're just cute (hey, shoe addict and I work in shoe store)

 

i wore high heels for the first time in two years on saterday. my friend laughed cause i was falling over the whole time.

i used to wear them ALL the time. And I could run, walk, whatever in them. Then one day I decided its stupid and now I can't walk in them and I think girls who wear them are silly. (except for girls wh are short, i understand the reasoning there)
