Ok so ive heard of cars running on hemp oil.
Does anybody have any idea how to convert a car to do that?
And what about a reliable source of hemp oil?

I know you can convert a deisel engine to run on vegetable oil.
http://www.greasel.com/ should have some info and links.

I suppose that hemp oil could be used, but I have heard nothing that makes it superior to other veggie oils.

Well, considering how well hemp grows, it's a natural fit

Problem is, growing hemp is illegal in the USA.

Why not just process some old deep frying compound from fast food outlets?

Cause you get biodiesel out of it, which has just screwed up the ferry system here in WA>

IG, can you point me to some source info?
I'm in a geasy greata conversion debate at home.
    mil gracias

as to hemp oil, it is a bit heavy, so I'd think it would have a high viscosity (which makes me think it could be better for other lubrication uses).
Really, the only hemp oil as fuel promoters I've met are all-out hemp promoters.
However, I do say that we should be growing the plant for industrial use at least.

This is not totally relevant... but I wonder, whenever I buy a hemp product, am I supporting hemp farmers and supporting a growing industry, or am I hogging the limited supply of hemp available to humanity atm?

yes but many hemp based food products have been legalized over the last couple of years. its legal to grow in canada, afer jumping through a couple hoops and going through some red tape, so buying hemp products will only increase the value of hemp and make growing hemp more of a financial incentive
