I like dogs during the day

But during the night I find cats more my way

In the sunlight dogs love to lick and wag and tag along

But in the darkness they bark indiscriminately

While cats always hang with me

We will wander and explore the night together

He hops from lid to lid seeing where he can go

I go window to window to what I can see

And together its like we rere family

I’ve learned the thrill of the dance moment

I’ve tasted the idea of the unknown

    I like it

If I was living for the flesh I think I could be set

But in my life I’m hunting for something deeper

I love the grid from behind in the roar of people on all sides

I love the thrill of the girl you never knew who lets you in

Growing up and finding the new bounds can be like godly gifts

Even finding new rules to the new grounds that set balance to the flow

All the girls I’ve ever know

I wish I could dance every night

I now know why they love the beats

I now know what has always been in my grasp

And I’m glad I’ve tasted it at last
