society's opinions have changed; ask most guys or girls and they'll tell you they want a loving , long-term relationship with one partner. most people i know, anyhow. but maybe i just don't hang out at enough swinger parties.

lol... and yeah, gotta love the invention of condoms. but i agree full heartedly, i mean, i don't believe everyone should just use each other for sex, but long-term relationships just seem like an easy excuse for people to stick to their ways. and not that you shouldn't love that person, but why should you only love one person? why can't we learn to love many people at the same time? if we just overcame our insecurities and saw that our partners can love others without loving us less, then tell me, what's the problem? and don't say unwanted pregnancy's and std's and all that bullshit, that's what condoms are for

i dont think there's anything wrong with casual sex as long as both ppl are mature and responsible adults. i dont mean adult as in age 18+, i mean as long as the basis is still love, even if they aren't in a long term relationship. sex based on ego is much too popular and accepted of a concept for universal free love to mean much, but if two ppl have established that they really feel love for each other rather than just momentary lust, i dont think there's anything wrong with sex w/out serious relationship then.

There is a vast difference between casual sex between two people who have known each other and two people that just met. Even if you are in a serious relationship with a person you can still get STD's and unwanted pregnancies. The only difference between casual sex and committed sex is a label and sometimes love. You still have to be careful, smart and honest with someone no matter if it's casual or committed. That being said, you can't say that the decline in not having casual sex is STD's. It's not about them at all, it's actually more about the fact that awareness on such subjects are higher then they used to be because of the fact that more people from all over the world can openly communicate due to technological evolution.
