has anyone else been to the alternative energy centre in wales? i went there a couple of days ago and i thought it was really good, so many ways we can be more green and help the environment. if anyone lives in wales or near it then you so should go

yes it's kind of just down the road from me in machynlleth

there is a hippy commune there: http://www.diggersanddreamers.org.uk/record_detail.php?eight=cat
i don't know if the hippies or the centre came first, being 30yrs old though i think the hippies did particulary as many of them work on the site - before you get too excited though they arn't looking for new members! ;)

they don't preach about there hippyist ways and make a big deal about it though, they present green living as something which can be adopted by mainstream society just as much as us tree huggers - and let's face it, it looks like their venture has been a huge succcess!
