How do you make a hood??

Hey guys I am working on a hoodie and need a good idea of how to make the hood LOL it is almost finished!!

Cre.... I know you know how to do it!!!!! Can you help me???

Patterns, patterns, patterns! Find yourself a pattern for a hoodie..it would be really hard for me to explain a hood to you thru typing. You either need to come on over to my house..or go get a patten.

Right on mama! Bring your sewing machine! Or if you can't you could use my back up machine! We could sew together! hehe

 

haha yall r funny!! I know my family and I will be at OBX on June 30th that week for July 4th next summer...

 

the way i make them is to take two kinda rounded rectangles and sew them together and gather the fabric that they join to. if i want it lined i make two bigger rectangles and turn them inside out before sewing them together. if that makes sense. but i am sure there's a more sophisticated way.

 

also, you could google 'Sewing a hood'

it brought up tons of patterns for sewing a cloak but you can get the idea from looking at the shape of the hood pattern pieces

 

yeah making cloaks for reenactmenting is the only time i have made hoods
