I just finished A Man in Full, by Tom Wolfe, and it was one of the best books I've ever read--the first 700 pages anyway. What the hell happened to the ending?! I don't know if Mr. Wolfe ran out of time, his editor thought it was too long, he ran out of interest in the story, or maybe he just lost his mind. But I have never been let down by a novel quite the way this book has managed to do. R
agree - I got the feeling that he had written what ever number of words he had contracted to write and all of a sudden he was like “I’m out of here" a huge letdown after his other books.
That's another book that is sitting on my shelf, waiting its turn to get read! Good to know that you guys like it, though, because after reading "I am Charlotte Simmons" I was slightly put off by Tom Wolfe's work. ~Nova
Anyone who likes sex and reading seems OK to me - unless there is something I am too dumb to get I do not see the joke, However, I am often slow
Opinions on oral Deep throating? A Man in Full i get it don't worry, there are still people with a sense of humor around
OK so I am a little slow - some things I get some things have to be explained - I blame the THC in my bone marrow (grin). Thanks for the road map.
no problem guys. who would have though a lady would have to lead the men to a sexual punchline... oh and i use the term lady VERY loosely...haha
Returning to the point, I would have to put The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test as number one and Bonfire of the Vanities as number two of Tom Wolfe's work. At least they worked best for me.
