While looking for the origin of the Word "Hippy" on Google... I ran into my own words! It was a direct link back to the Hip Forums and a thread here on Old Hippies. It kind of made me think a little... about the words, grammer, curse words I use, topics & titles, and the way I generally present myself here on the Forums. And when you're thinking that this is a nice little, private Family Site... think again. When someone is looking for a topic in particular, on whatever browser they're using, they might just come on in here and read what you wrote. Strangers!!! Right here in River City! That's the way we get new members I would suppose... it also opens the world's window to the little world we think we occupy here. Not being paranoid... cause I'm not. It just made me think about how very big the world is in reality when you think you're alone in one itsy-bitsy location in cyberspace.
That is really weird. The forums really feel like an island sort of, or a hidden opening in a forest, but they're out there for everyone to see, like all the other web sites. I don't even remember how I found out about the site, probably that same way.

I suppose that I didn't want to know that, Lotus. It really is funny, because that's exactly how I found the Hip Forums. I didn't even remember that until just now. OMG !!!! Glad you like the pic... I've been waiting to share my feelings in that way, but it didn't happen until I got pushed into it by someone I didn't even know on here, Goats are doing super well. I just bought Big Girl collars for the five doelings yesterday. It made such a difference in their lives. When I took their kid collars off and placed the big girl collars on... they puffed their chests out and preened like you wouldn't believe. Everyone's fat and happy, exceptin' maybe me... who's skinny and happy. So glad to hear from you, Sam

I was doing real good to, until the other day when Skip did something so that now when I log in, I get a calendar and 'who's online' list thrown in my face. I type in random url's all the time! I wanted to know the weather, but where could I find a site? So I just typed in weather.com Yup, its a site! I needed a dictionary, where is one? I typed in dictionary.com and yup again, its a site! lol Maybe its just my bad, but I have a habit of doing that. Sometimes before I use a search engine, first I'll type in a random url. Even if it doesn't get me where I want to go, sometimes I run into really interesting places on the net. Lotus
Dude, I can hardly ever type in URLs & get what I expect. I could type in like currentnews.com or something & get porn (not always a bad thing, but not what I wanted...lol). So, I dunno, I don't usually find that dependable. Heh.
