giving it up

hello people , i figure i'd say good bye before i leave this site forever. i've decided to give my life to Christ and i will no longer be apart of this community. i've come to listen to the word of God this time , eventhough he was telling me for years now that i shouldnt be smoking weed. everytime i turn around someone is preaching on making sacrifices and giving up things of the flesh, doing things in secret, not putting yourself in the position to be controlled my the devil. i even prayed and told God i'd stop once my plants finnished flowering . needless to say that wasnt good enough and i realized i was just making more excuses to keep smoking . when i was a truckdriver i was having a conversation with my fiance and said if God wants me to quit smoking he'd have to deal with me on a personal level.. well a few weeks later i got pulled into a terminal for a random and of course my fiance had to drive 16 hours to come get me and all my belongings ... if that wasnt personal i dont know what is. and believe it or not i kept on smoking everychance i got because i didnt want to believe what happened, and at the same time wondering why i'm not getting my prayers for a new job answered. God is very patient but He's also quick to bless when you do right by Him. things are picking up my fiance and i are getting married in a couple weeks eventhough theres one income comming in God still blesses us to get our bills payed and plenty of food in the fridge, not to mention our wedding plans are comming along nicely and its not costing an arm and a leg. i can only imagine how much more God is going to bless us the longer we worship Him. i feel relieved that i dont have to worship weed anymore , which can only bring my happiness for a few hours and empty my pockets . we give more money to God each week now than we gave to our dealers for weed,and we're still not broke. if thats not a blessing i dont know what is.

as this world comes to and end and the rapture getting closer , i pray that you all realize whats really important. you can only get true happiness from one source ...God, but you cant get to the father without going through the son first. if you've read this far you probasbly are already getting messages from God , listen to them He wont lie to you . sooner or later you're going to have to answer to Him weather you believe in Him or not. wouldn't it be better to listen to what he's got to say now then to be punished by Him on judgement day?

I respect your decision as well as opinion, but I believe saying that happiness can only come from God is a bit narrow minded. I'm catholic myself, and consider myself somewhat religious, but people who aren't religious can be just as happy as anoyone else.

maybe he saw his "God" in a dream? or maybe he saw god while he was trippin on acid? who knows.. but we all know god cant "speak" because god is spiritual and not physical so to make sounds one would have to cause vibrations in the air through exhaling in what not.. maybe god spoke to him in his mind~maybe he flew over the cuckoo's nest? maybe god spoke to someone else, and they wrote it down in there christian bible... dunno man. but maybe ^ some of those are were he "spoke" to god. hopefully he comes back to these forums and enlightens more w/ the proof hes come to known.... awww maybe god left a message by him getting busted by the cops when he was a truck driver? bah im just blabbering my thoughts.. im an idiot right now..sorry

 

Alright. I'm an atheist. Here's what I don't get. Why the hell is everyone preparing for this stupid "day of judgement" bullshit? Fuck... Live life to the fullest while you're here and don't try to be some jesus freak. Seriously, I was born into a christian family, going to church a lot. But, that didn't influence me to do shit all.
