I probably take a dozen pics a week of my feet but these are a few of the most recent. ;-) LOL

The sole shot I snagged by rolling back in my chair at the office and snapping a quick shot before anyone else at work noticed.

Matthew, this is a strange thing to say (I can't believe I am saying it) but, you have really pretty feet.

 

I love Yamark's feet. I think that is such a neat picture. They are definetely the best barefeet I have seen ;þ

 

Uhm, that's a lie. They belong to my friend Markus in Berlin.

He does indeed! I agree. And it's OK for you to say that, as it is for him, or any one, to have really pretty feet.

ImmortalDissident, you've got very nice feet there! The quality of your image looks fine to me. You have a uniquely long second toe on the right side (I like long second toes for some unknown reason).

 

That's one thing I really wish I had---though my feet are young for my age, and cared for almost as nicely as yours, the lack of the long second toes leaves me looking a tad stubby for my taste---poop.

 

Yes, I do have abnormally long toes.

Yes I do go barefoot. I'm not really a fan of shoes, though I don't protest them either. If anything, I'll wear flip flops.

...I also don't go barefoot because it's a spiritual experience or anything like that, I'm guessing it's because I'm too lazy to bend down and tie a shoe?

 

Here are my feet. These were taken just a couple of weeks ago after a nice weekend at a Northern California farm during their annual harvest festival. Lots of folks go barefoot at the harvest festival, mostly little kids but a few of my friends do too. There's lots of gravel and other fun textures to run around on.



Note how my heels don't touch the ground. I guess that's what happens when you go barefoot everywhere. The only time my heels touch the ground is when I'm standing still sometimes- to help keep my balance when I'm tired.


Those "clean" spots on the front pads are heavy rawhide callouses. The skin is harder there so dirt doesn't really stick to those areas. They are like dog paw pads. It's fun to walk around on tough bare feet. Shoes are like totally useless to me.

 

Well look who thinks he's clever Dan! Cute, but don't let your ability to walk digitigrade go to your head. I can walk digitigrade as well, but it's not just "what happens when you go barefoot everywhere." It acutally does reduce stress on your heels, since you gain more by using the arch and balancing on the ball of your foot. Anyone who runs barefoot should know this. Anyways I'm not trying to shoot you down or anything, I think it's cool there's someone else who likes to walk digitigrade.

 

OK well hello fellow digitigrade walker. Horray for walking digitigrade! We need more such folks around here. OK all you readers out there, tomorrow is "walk digitigrade day"...

Actually I never really thought this was an "ability", it just became more comfortable walking that way.
