Does Weed Cause Halucination

One of the first times I smoked I was in the van near the woods and I thought someone was comming up and the dude kept telling me to chill, and i saw shadows of people walkin around and heard noises of things in thew oods but he said he didnt see anything and that I was tripping out, and he had smoked way more than me...

 

haha that exact same thing happened to me when I was trippin off shrooms, but me and a friend were sitting in the woods and we both saw people in black capes run around us in a big circle.

 

im trippin right now off 3 blunts of sativa

 

Like most ppl are saying they see patterns and such. I see patterns in shit all the time sober. I also get body buzzes from music. I love seeing patterns in stuff while listening to music because they become active, otherwise its still pics.

no he means sativa, the genus of cannibus (is it a genus or jsut a species? is cannibus the genus? oh who cares) as opposed to indica, the other spicies.

oh, well around here there is only 3 or 4 types of weed. oops

 

im so glad that other people feel like they hallucinate or trip from just smoking pot... my boyfriend doesnt believe me!!! all the time ill be like, "babe, i feel like im shrooming. that bush right now looks like im shrooming" and hes like, "yeah right your crazy you can't see stuff like that just from smoking pot".


even just last night we smoked a blunt on the porch and i dazed off looking at this tree in front of us and i was staring at the leaves and all the sudden a little fairy appeared and she was sitting on the leaf, kind of outlined by the other leaves, but she was sitting there with like a tiny wand and her little wings just kinda looking at me it was so cool.

i didnt tell justin because he wouldnt have believed me. he thinks im weird hehe

and its never actually as intense or long-lasting as if your actually tripping, but it does happen

oh and the first time i got high i was sooooo stoned out of my mind and dave matthews was playing and i dont even know what song it was but it sounded like he was singing in a different language like indian or something it was so freaking weird but it was cool. haha man were we geekin or what...

 

The only hallucinations I have from pot are the occasional tunnel vision, shit looking bigger than it really is, and brighter colors and shit.

 

Once you try LSD, mushrooms or mescaline you will see the great difference between a hallucination and bud light headed trippin.
In my opinion you do not hallucinate with weed, you just perceive everything different.

 

marijuana is a psychoactive drug and can very easily inspire hallucinatory action in pot users. in my experience, pot tends to give me mild visuals - everything from occasional patterning to peripheral changes to breathing and other visual effects. i also tend to get mild auditory hallucinations that manifest in the form of me hearing things off in the distance that are not there, or are there but are skewed because of the drug.

my theory as to why i get auditory and visual effects from pot is primary given by my history with psychedelics. i noticed that after doing hallucinogens that my experience with marijuana was heightened to a new level. perhaps marijuana triggers similar pathways in the brain. but even people who have never tripped before can get visuals and even auditory effects, so the psychedelics theory is only a partial discussion of one of the many aspects of marijuana's effects.

I have smoked pot that made me repeaatedly fiant and black out b4- it was strong. I also have felt tingley tingles all over after smoking pot- that particular occurence lasted 2 days...Does anyone think that pot was laced? I can not be sure....

 

Wow, I have alot of mental history in the family. On top of that I have a very very low tolerance of weed. I get hallucinations everytime I smoke. This one time I smoked like 3-4 bowls and I was in this kids kitchen and everytime i talked my face felt like it was vibrating and everything started getting fuzzy and changing colors except the people whot urned into weird shapes. I didnt talk for awhile it freaked me out so bad.

This other time I smoked about a nick by myself. This stuff was amasing. i started imaginaing a dead girl and she kept coming at me getting closer and closer. It was fucking scary. I ran upstairs and went to sleep.

I once started imagining these scary stories a guy told me earlier. I started seeing dolls and shit coming at me and the sixth sense girl who pukes and makes those weird noises. I tried to smother my friend it scared me so bad.

Then this other time I saw a huge about 10 foot cobra, cobras dont even get that big with like a 1 foot wide head try to bite me i started to scream and kicked it.

I did smoke some weed laced with coke before but thats it. No way I could smoke nothing but laced shit. I dont think its that likely to come by.

 

Well one night i went in my back yard and smoke a fat bowl I dont know if it was laced or anything and came in. I could tell I was stoned already because my vision was all choppy. I walked to my room and layed there in the dark with the radio on.after about 10 minutes my body felt light slime and I couldn't move! I looked up at my window but the cieling and walls expanded and kept moving higher. Then the widow changed direction and kept sinking into the floor. Here I could see out the window and everything was in 2-D vision like everything was flat. Wierd shape appeared in this 2-D world. THis went on for about 20 minutes. I started to think about really deep stuff like me being in my body when I was a little kid and jow every thing seemed simple then. I began to cry because these thoughts were too much. I looked at my wall and wierd bubbles came out. I went into a deep sleep after this and awoke in the morning.

 

Hi all first post and just want to tell you I have smoked a few times in life and can say I personally have never tripped smoking pot! Now mushrooms or acid is another story as most that have tried them can attest too. I would say after smoking many tons of excellent herb i would know whether or not you could trip smoking good refer. NOT UNLESS IT IS LACED with something else.

 

Bah ya buncha newbs. Tripping and hallucinating are two different things! You only trip when you have taken physcadelic drugs i.e. LSD, Mushrooms, mescaline, peyote, and the like. Even though marijuana is a physcho-active drug, and can cause mild hallucinations (which i have experienced) it nowhere compares to the power of a trip.
I hate when people say "oh man, im trippin! Whoooaoaaa!" just after smoking a few bowls. Maybe your seeing things, but your not trippin! Tripping is a journey into the mind, not a few patterns in the trees!

 

maybe weed could serve a purpose as a practice drug, giving users a tiny taste of hellucinations before taking psychadelics. Im only saying this caus i know some people have been freked out of their minds from real tripping. its a responsible use of marijuana!

 

I agree with Diver... hallucinations are when you find these hallucinations more real than reality itself, not patterns in trees heh.

 

If u dont feel tingles and a body high then it aint weed ur smoking...
