I think this is more at home in Randomness than Music, so tough Was the Divine Comedy song from Father Ted ever officially released as a single? It occurred to me a few days ago how good it would be. The Divine Comedy full song as the A side, the acoustic version from Father Ted as the B side, and a PC/DVD video of the music video from Father Ted as a bonus. Something that Erykah and I realised when I mentioned it to her was how unmissable the Top Of The Pops showing would be. Ted and Dougal miming the song onstage, and around the end of the song. "Hey Ted! We're on Top Of The Pops!" "Not now, Dougal!"
I LOVE THIS!!! MY LOVELY HORSE IS ACE!!! It was like a soundtrack of our summer cos my friend who plays the guitar extremely bloody grandly used to play it and we sang!!! ACE!!! LOVE IT!!!
There'd be no point though as it is a complete non-entity of a song outside the context of the episode. Actually, considering what gets released these days I probably don't really have a point.
I tried to keep my post in past tense, but "how good it would be" slipped through. (Edit) Damn, now I look at it, nothing was in past tense.
