I have read recently the book by Julia Butterfly "The Legacy of Luna". The book is amazing, at least for me. It talks about such closeness to the nature which can be rarely found in our society. Amazes me that some people can do such far out things as sit on the tree for a period of two years.
I hope some day I could meet her:rolleyes: , pay my respects to the Hero, and maybe be a little bit useful to the environmental movement by providing some service.

By the way, is it true that Luna was eventually sawed down:( ?

Luna was damaged in a storm (gee, maybe there is a reason to leave full groves standing to protect them all from severe weather?) and had some "surgery."

i believe at one point some vandals also bothered her, but that is a far and fuzzy memory... and therefore subject to revision.
