I bought Funeral ages ago, but never really listened to it, then the other day my friend played me Neighborhood #1 and I went home and listened to the album several times through. Anyway, it's an amazing album, just wondering if there are any other bands that are kinda like them? or if any of their other stuff is woth picking up (I'm not even sure if they have other stuff)

Before Funeral, they've made this self-titled EP with 7 songs on it. They used to sell it on their gigs, but now it's been remastered and available in stores and on the net. I've recently bought it, and - though it's not as brilliant as Funeral - it's absolutely worth buying. There's also a Christmas album, which is rather funny, but I haven't heard everything of that.

But however, The Arcade Fire is an amazing band, I love their lyrics, melodies, vocals... And they're really original, that's why I can't name bands that sound like them.

they're so good! theyve become one of my favourite bands. Arcade is one of the few *perfect* albums I've ever heard.

i feel myself going through phases with them...when i first heard funeral, i thought it was so incredible, then i got tired of it...then i started to really only like the first 5 songs, then got tired of the album again...then i started listening to the whole album again and loved it...it never stops [IMG]

but in the end, they are an amazing band!

I like em a lot. Funeral seems to be very relevant to teenage life, though i hate to admit it but i do get bored towards the end. But i do love the album.

Is that you Midgley or should i say puddin'?

No, I'm a midget wearing a bikini. Is that you Cranny, or should i say........ RAVERBOY!
    tsk, tsk, tsk.

On another note, I also like Modest Mouse but they seem angrier than The Arcade Fire. It makes a big difference in when I enjoy each band.

I heard them perform "Wake Up" (I think it was) and I thought it was great, so I bought their album and haven't been disappointed.

As for Modest Mouse, I can't stand "Float On" but I really like some other songs like The World At Large, Ocean Breathes Salty and Bury Me With It.

Dude, get The Lonesome Crowded West by Modest Mouse. It's SO much better than Good News for People Who Love Bad News.

No one was saying a damn thing about emo, but sure enough, someone's going to diss on it.

Anywyas, The Arcade Fire are pretty damn good, at least from what I've heard of them, and that isn't much, but yeah...

Broken Social Scene is amazing, but they aren't really all that similar to The Arcade Fire.
