Yes. Jesus suffered greatly. So now, in my own suffering, and in the suffering of others, I try to comfort and bring a word and a song of God's peace and love.
Yes, and he is very special; just as our friends who pass onward and the Ethiopian child who dies. Yes this is true, but remember that there are those who do not care; they have little sense of empathy. And, thus, hope, dream, for good, call it a prayer if you want, and work for good; set an example. Set an example; lets work deep and hard for good in our world, with as much of our capability as we can 'muster,' as there are forces, that are very real, that foolishly impede the flowering our our global communitiy. .
if you really think about it, compared with all of the other individual tortures and terrible deaths experienced by regular people throughout history, the whole crucifixtion thing isnt that big of a deal
The quiet man raised his vision to drazil. His skin was marked with burns from war, scars from oppression. His mind was battered with memories of tyranny, Families lost and families taken. With the truest of expressions, he offered a smile, And in his breath, but a few words were spoken, "I have suffered throughout the ages, my friend. A thousand generations have I pained, toiled through horrors countless and burdens unending. Still today, I walk on. I am mankind. I am humanity. Yet still, I love, and with all of my being, I say to you: we are in no debt. When we love, we give to the world our compassion."
so i should feel WORSE that GOD suffered for me? God is eternal, almighty, allknowing, and i should feel sorry that he suffered for a day on the cross? If God is eternal, that 1 day on the cross would be nothing to him.
This is just silly. Would a car salesman show up unannounced, drop a car off at my house, hand me the keys, and say "now you owe me $20,000!"? I would say..."I didn't ask for, nor buy the car. I don't owe you shit." I never entered into any obligation with this man who died on a cross. I owe him no debt. Well I guess this post was for "church people" anyways (I'm guessing that means christians...)
original poster - op isnt the cost going to hell, going to church, praying, and following all of the rules of the bible?
Yeah, sorry, I ment original poster (OP) "Cost" doesn't always mean money (even though the bible asks for that too =P)
Alright. Hell isn't a cost. It's the payment for sin, but not the cost. For the wages of sin is death (in hell), but the Gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23) I don't know what the OP was trying to say about owing Jesus though. I would probably mistake what he/she meant.
