**disclaimer** this is not how i REALLY feel about my mother, though most of this is semi-biographical.

    Oh Mother

    My Mother.
Gazed out the window as my childhood passed me by.
But I was right beside her.

    My Mother.
Keeps me close, but keeps her enemies closer.
I was always right beside her.

    My Mother.
Found a man to spend her life with.
But I stayed right beside her.

    My Mother.
Had three more and strayed far less.
    Because we stayed beside her.

    My Mother.
Fell in love with the man next door.
But we always stayed beside her.

    My Mother.
Conceived me young, conceived me fast.
    Why did she even bother?

    My Mother.
    I still stay beside her.

Hmmmm... To me it just seemed kind of sad... like she was staring out the window but you were there... and why did she even bother.... thats pretty wild.. almost brings a tear to my eye... I could see how animosity and resentment would filter through you becasue of this..
