Hey, I did it!I thought that it will be harder, but it's not at all!I watched the PETA's videos , they were really...hard to watch. That helped me a lot. When I eat rice, or beans, I don't feel hungry for meat.I don't want to eat animals again. The only problem is that I must cook for myself. But I can cook quite well, and I'll get used to,I'm not lazy my mother respects my decision, but my father think that's only an experiment and i'll eat meat again. That's not true. I feel really fine now, I don't feel bad and guilty because I don't make something bad to the animals! It's really great!
Nice going. Cooking for yourself is a good thing, coz you learn to experiment with new and interesting foods. I went through exactly the same thing when I went veggie at the same age as you.
nice . if you find it hard to cook every day, try for main meal to cook for several days in advance. as bulgarian and continental-croatian cooking have some common points, i know it wouldn't be hard. stuff paprikas with rice and vegetables, role same stuffings in the cabbage leaves (meatless ''sarma'') etc... lot of traditional recipes, only without meat-component or replaced with soy-flakes. go for it!
thanks for your support, because I really needed to hear that I do the right thing. Now I'm sure that this is right and I don't care if the others will say the opposite.I like the vegetarian food.In the cantine in school there is a lot of meals without meat, so I don't need to cook often. I'm so so so happy that I did it at last!
still, one cooks better than a school kitchen! and let dad think what he likes. My dad thinks math is a thrill a minute.
I agree with drumminmama... just the act of cooking can be therapeutic and beautiful, even a form of meditation. I also agree with her dad... math can be really fun.
