I love doing triple C's, the trip is awesome and they are easy to obtain But everytime I do them, a few hours after I come down I experience really bad chest pain. Has anybody else had this side effect? Do you think its the DXM or the other ingredients in triple C's?
if your doing DXM you should be careful about other ingredients in it, make sure they only have dextromethorphan in it, the other shit in it can be deadly, DXM itself is pretty bad for u anyways, but the chest pain is a mystery to me, maybe it's an allergic reaction of some kind? how much do you take, the dose might have something to do with it
also tirple c's are fucking horrible for you use Robo or vicks cough syrip DXM can cause tachycardia (racing, pounding heart) i would definilty stop using DXM and go see a doctor
I only did DXM once, and it was the only ingredient. My heart was pounding at more than 200bpm for 5 or 6 hours. Horrible night.
jees how much did you take? but yeh when you take CCC's, your a dumbfuck, so you end up with pains from all the other drugs in them
If this was intended for me, I drank a bottle of Robitussin: maximum strength, which came out to about 600mg of DXM. I don't think that is a very high dose, but it sure did fuck me up. I thought I was gonna have a heart attack. Everytime my heart would beat I could hear it, and it sounded like a sharp popping noise, as if it was about to explode. Not very pleasant. Definitely not the drug for me.

For gods sake people erowid is out there for a reason. The other ingrediants in CCC can really mess you up (no not in a good way for all you teenagers), use the Robotussin cough gells or just the regualr syrup if anything at all. Ill say it once and Ill say it again DXMsucks
I'd experienced the same thing when I took those Nyquil gelcaps, like 12 at a time. If you got bad chest pains I have 2 guesses. It's probably just a panic attack, because Dextramathorphan, as well as the other ingrediants in those medicines, are excitatory. Because they affect the chatecholomines (dopamine, Norepinephrine, and Seratonin), along with the euphoria and perceptual changes come anxiety. The other guess is: Some coricidon varietys have pseudoephedrine in them. As everyone knows, it's a nasal decongestant, (a synthetic analouge of ephedra) that has mild stimulant properties and can be used as an ingrediant in producing crystal meth. Anyway, pseudoephedrine, (ike all other stimulants) is a vasoconstrictor, meaning that it constricts blood vessels in the body. Although soemone your age wouldn't have a heart attack, when arteries are constricted, a less-than-adequate amount of blood oxygen reaches the heart, and this causes a type of chest pain called angina. It's uncommon in young people, but could happen with pseudoephedrine. But you said CCCS, right? Triple CCCs (to my knowledge) don't have pseudoephedrine, just DXM and a dangerous antihistimine Chlorephermine (?). My advice is this. If the pains bother you, mabye find a safer drug to trip and/ or be eophoric on like pot or acid. Acid will not cause chest pains, and pot shouldn't unless you were Snoop and smoked like 4 ounces a day and got some kind of chronic lung condition. I wouldn't worry about the pains too much if they just happen when you're crashing, but if they start happening when you haven't had CCCs, I'd see a doctor. DXM is real fun, but messes up your brain and most other organs. pEaCe
There is only one other active ingredient in Triple C and its CMP or Chlorpheniramine Maleate. You would be safer on other OTC products like robo that contain only DXM. The chest pain is probobly from the rapid heart rate gives you. I have experienced chest pains before but they usally happy about a day after my trip not in a few hours.

While Coricidin or Triple C is not the best product for you it also will not permanintly mess you up unless you are taking HUGE quanities for a long period of time. 6 Coricdin tablets will not cause long term damage unless you doing them for several months and takeing them 3 or 4 times a week.
