i prefer vinyl, but I dont have a record player anymore. i had to be a dumbass and tried to be a dj on an old record player, which didnt turn out so good. but hey I got rid of one of my dads madonna records in the process
Vinyl has a warmer sound, in my opinion. And not all vinyl records were tranferred onto CDs, so a lot of good albums can only be found on vinyl.
Thats Hard , Vinel wasnt our time, soo i cant compare and tell you which one i like better, i never had any expiernce with vinel. Soo im gonna say Cd's
Vinyl by far, more for less $ , but seriously i know what you mean by the better quality, and its true, it has a less metallic more natural sound to it.
I just bought the 30th anniversery reissue of Dark Side Of the Moon on vinyl, and I'm listening to it for the first time right now in the dark with my only light coming from the computer screen. There are NO WORDS for the quality of this sound, and there are no words for what I'm feeling right now. It's the most incredible thing in the world... I've blessed in a home with a wonderful record player, and I was blessed with the $25 my dad gave me to buy the album. It's just... amazing... for lack of a better term. I almost dind't buy this, but I'm sure fucking glad I did.
you got that for $25?!?!? at my record store it's like 50 but its the original release with sheet case so that might be why... suggestion for listening to dark side; if you know the words, sing along, light up inscence if you have it, picture the album cover in your mind, turn on a lava lamp if you have one
Yeah, it's gonna be more if it's an orginal, this one is a "30th Anniversary Edition Heavweight Virgin Vinyl with Original packaging including sitkcers and posters plus new 30th anniversary poster." But I lucked out with the price... At a lot of the stores around here in Milwaukee (I got this on vacation a week ago) it was $50 or up. And the album itself just finished... and by the end of it I had closed my eyes and I had become a part of hte music... It's such a magical feeling I'm SO thankful my dad kept his record player for me to have
i dig vinyl and i used to try and spin on my old ass record player, i used to wanna be a techno dj HAHAHA those were the days. anywhoo i have tons of bealtes records i bought at a yard sale for $7, the lady had no idea what she was getting rid of........
I have Animals and Meddle on vynle...i have srgnt peppers and let it be too...i love records...something about em...i realy want Ummagumma and Pipers at the gates of dawn on record but i cant find em
I have both a CD player and a Record player. I like both of them. CD storage is definitely more convenient than record storage. My records are kind of taking over my apartment.
What the fuck are you smoking? We can still play vinels so how isn't it our time? I don't care as long as it's music.
i spend countless hours listening to my dad's vinyl collection. it's a helluvalot better than cd in sound quality. it's just warmer somehow. No cd can get that tone.
I prefer CD's. The sound is cleaner, the quality is higher and you can't hear all these silent noises which you can hear on a used vynils. Love, Borut
i am more of a cd/mp3 man myself. robert hunter(lyricist for The GD) said he always felt limited by vynlys when writing albums, because of the two sides. he said he like liked the continuum of music a lot more. my mom does have a record player though, and some pretty good records that surprised me she had. american beauty, seagrent peppers, some george harrison album, santana...
I like vinyl... but CDs are more compact... hence the coined phrase... CD... compact disk. It pisses me off as they get scratched so easily.
I agree with Peace. They can be "in our time" if we want them to be. They are still making record players and I just bought a new one. So clearly it is in my time, and I am not a DJ. And modern artists release records.
