Besides the fact that he's gorgeous, He also introduced Pop music to the Eastern flavor (starting with that whole Sitar-In-Norwegian-Wood thing) He was a magnificent guitarist, a brilliant and underrated songwriter, a Beautiful Person...I could go on for days.
