So it seems that our good and infallible friend "god' set His chosen scribes to work and, Lo and Behold! 50,000 errors later, we have His word in print. How wonderfully thoughtful and omnipotent of Him! Yet in their cognitively dissonant deluded state of mind, the dogmatic christian response actually proves the presence of the psychiatric condition ~ they say: "there are probably 50 000 errors . . . errors that have crept into the Bible text . . . 50000 such serious (?) errors… most of those so-called errors... as a whole the Bible is accurate." Does any sane person really believe that 50,000 errors constitutes an accurate rendition? I don't think so! Seeking to trivialize the importance of such information, they state errors that have crept into the Bible text. "Crept"? Now what is it that "creeps"? Satan, perhaps? http://jamaat.net/bible/AwakeArticle(1957).html http://jamaat.net/bible/Bible4-6.html
MrRee, It looks like this article is about the King James Bible. The King James Bible was written FOUR HUNDRED YEARS AGO and is extremely inaccurate. It doesn't surprise me at all that it contains thousands of errors. Back then, we knew only a fraction of what we know now about the ancient languages. Also, it was commissioned by the monarchy, rather than independent Christian sources. It is not a reliable translation. The most up-to-date Bible is the latest revision of the New International Bible, and even that is not perfect. It cannot be perfect — as our knowledge grows, the more accurate the translation becomes. The King James Bible may have been great four hundred years ago, when it was the first legal copy in the country. But no one would read it today. It's written in archaic English, so no one could even understand it properly!
Anything talking about GOD is holy scipture. Even if talking bad about GOD it shows the authors state of mind, thus a consequence of a mans pesimistic perception on GOD's system
Was it!? Good grief! There's another reason to be scared of anyone who uses King James! That's a nice sentiment, but it just doesn't add up. If a power-hungry dictatorship like the early Catholic church distorted God's word for their own gain, then that is not holy scripture. Similarly, if Satanists write a book about God, that's not holy scripture.
Even if talking bad about GOD it shows the authors state of mind, thus a consequence of a mans pesimistic perception on GOD's system. But it still evidence of what can holds possible in GOD's system. Good or bad is held at relativity with the perfect truth
The point is that, whether or not the bible is KJV, New English or Kahooziwhatlian, being the supposed "inspired word of god", it is riddled with errors, and that proves that it is a work of man, not a divine inspiration.
