My brother has an account on Facebook. I heard on the news last night that people have been stalked, and that it can be dangerous because a lot of people put their name, dorm number, picture, and lots of other personal information on it (including my brother). In love, Diana
oh facebook! I have wasted so much time on facebook...even though there is virtually nothing to do. and yet I find ways to waste time on it. hm, ah well.
When our university (Saint Louis University (SLU)) first got facebook last January I avoided joining. I saw too many kids just waste days doing whatever it is you do on there. I swore I'd never join. However, I finally caved a few weeks ago, I had to understand what was so great. There's no better way to find out than experience. I still don't understand what's so great. I'd much rather go outside and throw the frisbee than "play" on facebook all day. However, I have found some worthwhile uses for it. It is so simple to contact someone that I was easily able to to track down the girl I barely knew in class in order to get my midterm assignment. Although I did feel like a creep. Anywho, if anyone feels so compelled go ahead facebook me.
is it just me, or does it seem like scrolling through pages of random people, about half of the girls look drunk and nearly naked?
It's not you... they have groups dedicated to such pictures. ("I was wasted when my facebook picture was taken!" etc.)
I love facebook. I'm not even in college yet but I was glad to know that I wasn't the first person who got in early decision at my school to start a facebook. You kids who don't like it just aren't using it right. Wake up, get some messages, and get a couple invitations to parties, poke the cute chick from your econ class, call your friend a homo, see yourself tagged in a couple of other peopel's photos from the weekend, etc. Dunno. Collecting strange people you don't actually know on it isn't really that great tho.
