Hey all.. I'm coming up from Toronto Canada... and will be at the show on the Saturday 22nd. I'm actually coming down to Atlanta for work, but, am leaving early just to see SCI.

Anyhow, if anyone knows of a good spot to hookup before the show, I would love to say hi to any fellow cheeseheads.

I'm getting stoked for this run...Saturday's show is the 2nd annual Pirates Incident! Wear a pirate costume!

Whats that all about? Sounds like fun though.

 

Ya, everybody gets to dress up like pirates...I know the sci fidelity crews are called pirates but this is a chance for everyone else to have a good time, get in on the action as we raise the roof off the Fox!

Last time I caught the cheese at the Fox(atlanta) there was a nice lot just to the south of the Fox. Lots of Food, beer ,etc....till the Atlanta cops got complaints and came and shut the vendors down. I would guess there will be a pre=show lot/party this year too.

my ever-present procastinating nature has caused me to miss out on the indigo! my sweetie & i REALLY need a place to stay in ATL!!! we are celebrating his 31st & are looking for a safe place to spend the night...
any advice????
if anyone is willing to share floor space, we could totally pitch in! we are kynd, cheese-lovin folks from alabama & could maybe accomodate anyone coming to the b'ham shows.

hey josalyn, I can help you guys but you'd better get in touch with me today! Check your pm's here for my #. I made reservations at the Terrace and the Indigo a few weeks ago. Today I cancelled the reservation at the Terrace, opting for the cheaper Indigo since I couldn't find someone to split the room cost. The Terrace was 300 bucks for 2 nites, no thx.

so, did all of yall have an awesome time at the Fox?? i was only there 2nd night, but it was really really good!!!

 

Epic! Both nites were just amazing, the crowd's energy was thru the roof from the 1st tune Friday nite thru the weekend. The 2nd nite was a blast what with the boys cutting up and the displaced musicians from New Orleans adding their immense talents...the crowd was so, SO kynd!! I was wringing wet after each show from boogying so hard and THANK GOD THERE WERE NO TANKS IN THE LOT!!! This was more like the scene before things started getting outta control...What some incredibly Good Vibes. It finally feels like phamily again.

Cheese gets so much better each time I see them and they're playing flawlessly! They're adding new tunes and how about Kang jumping down into the pit and boogying with us for 5 or 10 minutes during Drums saturday? Also it was great they got in on the 'Pirates' incident, playing the tune Pirates in the 1st set and Billy and Travis donning the eyepatches for the 2nd set, ARRRRRRRR!

I see what everyone says about the Fox. Something about that place is really magickal...

A great time was had by all! Sorry I didn't meet up with anyone from here (as far as i know) . But , it was a fine run. I think the second nite(Sat) was the best, if I had to pick one, the Cheese was into it, the crowd was cool and the Fox was more laid back, and no big police crap after the show.

Oh, I sat next to a girl from 'bama and three or four guys, some of the second night was that you(happydrivin)????

and to the chick in the light up hat and high top orange con's ,
love ya! its hard to beat fish nets and high top orange con's!

so, were any of you in the pit 1st night???? i guess for once our procrastination paid off, b/c we only bought tix a week & half before show time & surprisingly ended up with 3rd row pit seats dead center!!!!!! never been that close to the cheese before....Woweeeeeeee! what a night!
and what about the impromtu acoustic set in the foyer of the fox after show 2nd night???? please tell me some of you were there?!

hey josai! what part of alabama are you from??? i live in decatur...near huntsville, if you don't know where it's at and, yeah, i heard about that acoustic set in the foyer, but i missed it, cuz our car was close to being towed *some scam was going on in a parking lot* but, anyways, that's awesome you got seats so close!!!

we are in tuscaloosa...being a bama girl i'm sure you know where that is!
it's pretty dull here, & sometimes it seems the hip folks can be few & far between, but we've managed to find some great family & try to have regular potlucks & drum circles to keep us all connected!
so, about the fox, sorry you missed the acoustic set i'm sure everyone will be talkin' about that for awhile! sure glad your car didn't actually get towed though!!!
