I recently made the decision that I wanted dreads when me and my boyfriend were "taking a break" but now we are back together, and things are going really well. The problem is, he is the one that 'inspired' me to get dreads. Im not saying Im getting them FOR him, but if I had never met him and seen his wonderful dreads, I doubt I would have wanted to get them. I just dont want to get dreads and then if (not saying we will) break up in the future, everytime I look at them, I think of him. I dont even know if that would happen but its a possibility. What should I do??

Dread your hair. If he lies to you and cheats on you and fucks your best friend on your kitchen counter, then you can always cut them off.
ahaha. not much of a chance of that happening. i am now even more convinced than ever that i wanna get em. just lettin my hair grow out a bit. doubt me n him will ever break up n if we do, fuck it, i aint gonna cut my dreads off just cuz we didnt work out...
