My dreads are almost 1 year old, the last two times I've washed them I noticed they are getting really soft and this is causing them to get very fluffy/frizzy and limp. It feels like they are getting worse each time I wash them. I use Dr.Bonners shampoo and rise it all out everytime I wash my hair but still after I come out of the shower they are so soft. They used to be fine up until about 2 weeks ago. Help?

i would just switch shampoos bro because i heard dr bronners, although i heard its great, it isnt completely residue free and can leave a lot behind whether you feel it or not. so try switching shampoos. if ya can, order the knottyboy soap bar. peace and may fortune be yours always. :)

Try spraying a tea tree solution on them everyday aswell, about 15-20 drops in
450 ml spray bottle & spray over once a day, it will help to keep your scalp
itchy free as well & tighten up your locks

I think its just one of those things that happens during the process, theyll be really tight feeling one day and kind of soft the next. but also try switching shampoos for a little while, maybe your hairs just gotten to used to it?
