I was in the tatoo shop with my cousin, and I was looking through the tatoo magazines and I saw tatoos done inside peoples bottom lip. I think this is really cool. Does any one have one of these? Is it more painful than a regular tatoo? Is it hard to find someone to do them?
that sounds REALLY painful...and very easy to get infected i'd imagine. what were the tattoos of? i've never heard of that
I'd imagine that lip tattoos wouldn't be that painful. At least not more painful than your hands or ribs or something. I know they are hard to get looking good. The skin is different inside your lip and its hard to make the tattoos really clear and precise. i know my tattooist won't do them because he says they often turnout looking crappy and he doesn't want his name on shit. On the otherhand, if its something you like, and are willing to deal with the fact that it might not turn out how you like, then go for it. Its the inside of your lip, so noone has to see. Peace
It was common in the UK for guys to get "SKINS" or something tattooed inside the lip. Not something intricate.
eh, my hubby has has several tattoos on the inside of his lip. Yeah, they hurt, but all tattoos hurt and they are usually small so it doesn't take long. He never had a problem finding someone to do them, but he always gets his friends to do his work or he just does it himself. they've never gotten infected. the main problem with getting a tattoo there is it doesn't last long, the skin is thin and constantly regenerating. there's not even a mark to show that he's ever had one there. so in a way that's kinda cool, you can change the tattoo pretty regularly. of course he's had all kinds of rudeness put on his lip, ahhh, 1% and fuck you are two of them... he's not a one percenter any more so i'm glad that tattoo wore off go for it if you like the idea, you won't be stuck with it for life. another place that hurts way worse and is also a 'temporary' tattoo location is the palm of your hand - they wear off fairly quick too. and mushie - there is no point. that's the point. what's the point to anything, really.... huh, a question better asked in the philosophy forum...

There was this guy I went to high school with who had GANGSTA tattooed on the inside of his lip, and he walked around holding his lip down all the time and showing it to people as they walked by. What a dumbass. I mean it's cool if you want to get a tat on your lip, but this guy in particular was just an idiot.
it seems that i was mistaken - a lip tattoo CAN last for quite a while, depending on placement - below the gum line so the teeth don't rub it off, and also the depth of the ink. so maybe you better think about exactly what you want it to say... hahahahaa! i saw that on another tattoo forum...
I used to have a buddy(he's dead now) that had the word "beer" tattooed on his inner lip with an arrow on each side pointin down his throat.He had to get it redone evey cpl of years to keep it lookin ok.he was one helluva drinker tho hehe..it suited him.he just made the mistake of shootin a speedball while drunk
