ok if the cops pull me over and i have cannabis in the car but its in my trunk wut should i say if they ask to search my car? should i say yes but you cant search my trunk...or should i say yes u can search (will they not even go for the trunk)?? this is assuming i dont have anything in my system

 

never consent to a warrentless search. always to your advantage to clearly state that you do not consent to any search.

 

dont worry about whats in your system that wont matter they wont test you unless they do a drunk test,they cant search your car so dont say yes but dont search my trunck cause that sounds like you have something in your trunck whcih will make them get double talky and in the end fuck your slef over.

they can do a warrentless, permissionless search if they can see or smell weed (or other drugs/illegal activity) so make sure everything's hidden and unambiguously out of sight. And hopefully the car won't smell.

DO NOT interfear with their searching. Interfeering with them (even if it is an illegal search) is a crime in itself.

DO NOT touch their body, their gear, their car, dogs or anything. It might be construed as assault. Yes, kicking a cop car is assaulting a police officer.

DO NOT lie to a cop; refuse to answer but do not lie.

If they arrest you, claim your right to remain silent and ask for a lawyer.

This kind of stuff is not likley to change what happens on the street, but it might make a difference in court.

OH, I almost forgot, don't neessarily believe what the cop says. They are specificaly allowed to lie to you without repercussion, either proffesional or legal.

 

Lol, if anything, be nice to the cop... Ive heard about plenty of people getting let off the hook, or get a less'nd charge for just using the "yes sir" "no sir" 's and not being a dick about the whole thing.

But yes, its important to know your rights when dealing with an officer, and it can save your ass in many cases. And by the way, some times you can get a very asshole cop that will search your car anyways and make up lies about smelling something or "thinking" that he/she saw something that could possibly be parafanilia (sp?) and etc. So be careful who you are dealing with.

Listen very carefully to what the cop says..they will most likely try and trip you up with wordplay..."Do you mind if i search your vehicle"...if you answer no to that then they can search your car, so be very clear with them. NEVER EVER pull or back away from a police officer who reaches for you...i was with a friend who did that cuz he had two dimes in his pocket and we were this close to getting caught---> | | (he threatened to cuff my friend but we started cooperating and luckily he didnt reach the weed when he stuck his hand in my friends pocket and pulled out a cigar)

If cops catch you doing anything illegal they have the right to search you, so dont be bulligerent(sp?) and you might get off easy!
(SMOKING CIGS underage will get you searched, its happened to me too many times to count so all you minors out there be careful)

If you don't consent they will hold you there and call in a search warrant to get permission from the courts to search your car. Either way, they're gonna search your car, so it's probably better to just be cooperative in the beginning. Been there, done that, and they definitely always end up searching your shit.

 

i don't think many cops will bother to get a warrent for it based on a suspicion, unless they think you have a whole lotta marijuana on ya.

 

plus, if you just consent to it and they find the shit in the trunk, you lose, but if you don't consent to a search they might just leave you with a speeding ticket or whatever you got pulled over for.

its pretty naive to think that refusing to let a cop search your car is gonna get you away with it. in court they can say they smelt marijuana. if theres none there, you go, if there is some there, it doesnt matter shit if they did smell any or not. you cant prove they didnt.

at any rate, if you do refuse to let em search, its probably best to get a little angry at them, pretend youre on a business trip and that your not gonna be happy if they made you late without a warrant. you gotta act respectable though. you gotta be like 'officer im really in a hurry, if im late and lose a client because you have held me up without a warrant, theres gonna be soe complications down at the stations with my lawyer. Now thats not a threat, im just sayin thats how its gonna go, im only doing my job like you are'. a cop wont give a shit if your just a dude who wants to get somewhere but if they really think you mean business then theyre less -likely- to give you shit. still theres no guarantees, especially in america heheheh
