then let it smack me because i'm ready...and even when it does smack me in the face, it's not the future anymore it is the present...to me the future doesn't exist...if i concentrate on the future the REAL moments i'm living in are just background...so why plan for a future...b/c when it is time to act on the plan...you really won't live it fully b/c you are concentrating on the next future. hopefully that makes as much sense to you as it did to me.
You are saying two things one of which I agree with - a person should live in the present as much as possible, neither dwelling on the past nor worrying about the future. The other of which I do not. You say, "why plan for a future". Planning for the future is a part of living in the present. If you decide to help a cause or organization that you believe in then you will do some work for them or write them a check or hand out flyers for them. The effects of the help that you have given you expect to occur in the future. Someone is elected, a law is passed, a company stops exploiting someone. However, the actions you have taken are part of you living in the present. I do not think a person should live a life of deferring everything to the future. Such as saving every penny for an old age that may never come. Nevertheless, I believe that a prudent person takes some thought for the future. Makes some plans, saves a little money, keeps health insurance etc. I do not think the two are self-exclusive. You can live in the present while being mindful of the future and taking guidance from the past.

future is real, cuz today, right now, is happening in the future as much as it does in the past. it's 1934 as much as 2785. cuz it's all energy. and energy moves forward in i believe a fibonacci spiral movement.
