most blisters will go away after a few weeks...it depends on how bad the blister is. I personally always cut open the blister squeeze everything out then put a band aid and sauve on it for a few hours...I will warn you though, cutting open a blister can lead to infection...so be careful if you try this.
And try not to look at it while you're doing it. There's nothing worse for a blister than to throw up all over it. Blech....
A few months ago, my boyfriend got drunk and let his friend burn his finger with a lighter. Then he got this big blister and whined about it for like a week. One day we were in the kitchen, just goofing aroud and having fun. Then his blister popped. It was really gross. To make it a million times worse, I was running over to get the bastard a paper towel, and I stepped in the goo that came out of his finger and landed on the floor. It was so disgusting! I was not okay for a long time. I kept washing my foot and overreacting. It was a beautiful performance. I thought you'd like to hear that.
thanks for sharing. thats funny and kinda gross. in all honesty I probably would have popped it for him when he first complained about it...i have a fascination with that type of stuff....
NEOSPORIN!!!! And do NOT pop it your self. My father has gotten blood poisoning several times from popping blisters. Spending a day in the ER on an IV antibiotic is no fun. Keep antibiotic ointment and a bandaid on it. It will eventuall heal. Often they don't even really "pop" they just dry up. If you see a red line, or a red dot or start to feel feverish or ill, see a doctor immediately. You may have blood poisoning. I have seen my father go through this and it is not good.
