I need an answer. Fuzzynuts brought up a great point. Open your bibles to Matthew 6:5 - 6:6, fuck it, I'll just copy it over for you. 6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. There you have. A black and white instruction manual from the big man himself telling you NOT to pray in public. Question - Why do people pray in public places?
What He meant with that was to not say " I'm a strong believer in Christ'" and yet be a hypocrit and totally live in my flesh, not to 'pretend' believing in Christ when I really don't, just do it for honor. Back in those days the Pharasies were hypocrites, why? Because they 'pretended' to love G-d, when they really just did it for the money and honor ( which goes against G-d's word.) Since Christ also says to 'Pray without ceasing'. I had a similar reply to Fuzz's thread.
"Pray without ceasing" automatically means out loud? One could argue that one could pray in his head without ceasing. Whatever floats you peoples boats. I'm sure a serial killer could also try to manipulate logic to his liking. The bible does contradict itself a lot, though.
