I was just wondering if any of you get paranoid about smoking in your house. My fiance and I smoke together every night. Sometimes a few friends join us. The attic is the only room that I will allow smoking in. We live in a two family house (divided by downstairs and upstairs - we are upstairs, obviously.) A family of 3 lives below us - a dad, mom, and their 16 year old daughter. I don't know why, but I am so paranoid about them knowing that we smoke...or about anyone else in the neighborhood knowing, for that matter. We have been there for almost a year and a half and no one has ever complained, but I am still just as paranoid now as I was the first time we smoked there. I don't know why I am like this...we are quiet neighbors who are usually in bed by 11 p.m. and leave for work by 8 a.m., so I can't imagine that anyone would have too much to get upset about. I wasn't so bad over the summer when we had an exhaust fan in the attic window, but now that it's colder we don't have that anymore, so I'm thinking the smell is much stronger.

I guess I'm just trying to see it from a non-smoker's point of view...how angry do non-smokers get about the smell of pot smoke, generally? Is it likely that police would respond to a marijuana complaint (especially in a town where hard drugs are the real problem)? How much legal trouble can you get in for a first offense?

If anyone has any thoughts that could put my mind at ease, please share!

Burn some incense and some sage and youll be fine! If the attic has a window try blowing out the window, or sealing the door so no smell gets out. And blaze out the 16 year old daughter! Im sure youre good if youve been doing it for a year and a half. Neighbors rarely make ganja complaints. Just keep it low key.

In my experience people really don't care if you are smoking weed as long as you aren't making too much noise or otherwise bothering them.
If you are selling or growing, that tends to be a different matter, cause it's dangerous.
My friend lives next door to the chief of police, and the chief actually told him that he was cool with it if he smoked, just as long as he didn't sell or do harder drugs.

I don't know, they'd have to be pretty low to be angry about it. Most people around that age had at least ONE experience with marijuana when they were younger, so they can sympathize. Burn incense and you'll be fine.

The incense really does work well...I never realized how powerful it was. When I go into the attic now, left-over incense is all I can smell! :)

i'm sure they won''t care as long as you respect them and try to be quiet after you smoke. incense will cover the smell but try to burn some during the day so it isn't as obvious as to what you are doing.

enjoy! smoke one for me! ;)
