Thats not nice. I am not extremely sarcastic and i dont overanalyze every mistake made nor do i mock you constantly.

 

I'm not entirely sure why you would need to have ANY expectations of us...

I cant speak for anyone else but the Hipforums are what you make them... If i'm bored and don't want to think too deeply i gravitate towards Random Thoughts.. delightfully shallow just when thats how your feeling... If i want something to tax my brain i find look elsewhere..Christianity or Politics.... there are just so many threads on so many issues and all in one great place
something for every mood you find yourself in....

The users here a just real people... none of us perfect and all of us different...its what makes being here so good... just take some time to find out what your interested in and you'll find like minded people...

We cant all be deep on the days you want us to be...life just isnt like that...

i dont believe you turn cold and arrogant because you grow up or meet reality. You learn to make yourself strong enough to stand it all but that does not mean you leave your gentle attitude behind.

I find the people who make smart replies are also generably able to take criticism on board. In other words, open minded.

Hey,I think people here are very nice and lovable.But there is another thing-when I want to communicate with someone from the forums, he/she/ writes me 3-4 really kind messages, and after that he/she/ stop writing me.I really don't know why is that happening.

okay...here i go...
a large group of people born in the 80's and 90's are trying to find a more
spirtual way of life, which are society doesnt allow. it's not been taken serious. so these people are indentifying with what they have read or heard about the past, which immediatly becomes the 60's cuz that 'fits' them best.
so grew the fuck up i think isnt the best thing to say, i think it's more, try to not find it in another 'label' but find it in yourself.

Well, I was really thinking the same thing. . .wondering what happened. And no, seeing as how a lot of the "hippie" mindset is peace and love and kindness, I don't think you were expecting too much. Even if we don't identify ourselves as "hippie", these forums DO reach out to that kinda mindset. . .supposedly.

I was just thinking the exact same thing... but didn't know where I'd put a thread like this. I don't strereotype people and all that... the "hippie" lable just seems pointless to me, but anyways... I was hoping that there would be nice people here too. I'm sure there are some, but i haven't really met any now that I think of it. Thre are people on here who ACT all nice, but are actually just selfish, cold-hearted individuals who think that everyone is out to get them. I've met like three people on here who seemed really friendly on the messageboards, so I sent them PM's. Two times, I was ignored completely, and the other time I was told to "Fuck off."

Why? I did nothing wrong to those people but try to be nice to them? I just wanted to be friends... They were all friendly in public on the messageboards, but then when I PMed them or IMed them on MSN... they were the complete opposite. I guess that their little "nice" acts are simply that: An Act. Why they would act like that is beyond my knowledge, but it's just plain wrong, and people need to learn to just be themselves at all times. I feel like I'm one of the only genuinely nice people alive today... ironically enough, lots of people say that I'm conceited and coldhearted... why?!?!

LovelyLightLisa-- Society has no problem with people wishing to live a life of peace and love. On the contrary-- we need more. What I'm saying is these young people think the 60's were some kind of high water mark that they wish to re-attain.


Sorry, I was there. For every "enlightened" hippie, there were 10 more who were simply lost, drugged out or just plain stupid.
