today i heard someone say that American Spirit ciggaretts aren't additive-free. they said that they're owned by Marlboro and contian more additives than regular ciggaretts. supposedly they just pay the fines for their false claim but make more money by claiming it anyway. i've googled this to death and all i can find is that Forbes published some artical criticizing the company, wich seems to still be owned by Mystery Mountain or whatever it is, on the specifics of their additive-free claim. but i just read that there was that article, i didn't find the artical. any input?
I would love to add something to this, but I can't. I believed that they were additive free. Argh,I hope that's not true
cigarettes are bad period, stop smoking 'em with or without additives. 'sides, this is more of a consumer issue than a health issue. the health issue here is just that cigs are bad bad BAD for you
so new info, if anyone cares... they're owned by their own company still and refuse to join up with larger corporations. whatever that means... and as far as the additive thing... i think it's just that they extract nicotine and turn it into a "crack" form of nicotine wich hits your harder and fasters ... so this is no good for cutting back... wich is what i wanted american spirits for... because i can't smoke very much of a single one... and i tend to not want to go for another very soon. but considering it's just giving me more nicotine than other cigs... this won't work.
Interesting info. When I smoke (rarely), I smoke American spirits....I hope they're what they say they are...and, I agree, they can really pack a wallop...it would be hard to be a chain smoker on American Spirits....
