A background for the Europe forum?

Hey guys,

I was wondering if you'd like a special background for this forum? I designed one for the French forum, but, I thought that we could maybe make some kind of contest, and some of you could design a cool background and put it online, then post it here, and everyone would vote! What do you think?

A few rules though: the Europe forum background has to look European if you see what I mean, like a flag, or whatever, and it can't be too busy. Just a JPG or GIF pic, not too big, not too small, that would spread all over the page in a harmonious way.

I'm quite good in handling 3D Programs, so if you have an idea what you want in the background, I'll make a picture of it

Actually, it has to be a small image that just repeats itself all over the page if you see what I mean, like, for example, for the French forum, I made this:



I should be like a European flag or something, with maybe some hippy reference, or some words... and remember it can't be too busy, or too colorful.

 

Perhaps a European flag, the normal circle of stars, but some more stars creating a peace sign in the middle? perhaps as much stars as the european uunion has members? (25 I think at the moment?)

 

I think that 25 little stars forming a peace sign would be awesome!

Wow, that's great Flowerian, thank you! If everyone else agrees, I'll send it to Skip and ask him to put it over the forum

 

As you might have noticed I didn't use a "unique" blue, it is rather a shaded one... at the left it's darker than at the right, this might be irritating for the eye when you put a lot of this images over a screen. I can make another one with only one blue if this would be better... think we have to try

 

I just sent a PM to Skip, and I think he said he'd put it up... I'm just no sure because I asked a few questions and he just said "yes, no" so... anyways, the no answer was to my "will you put back the French forum background I made" question He didn't tell me why, and I feel bad...

 

Why shouldn't he put back your background? It's so nice

Really nice.. how did you make it? Paint it by hand and scanned it?

 

Thanks I used Corel Photo House, I actually took a GIF image that only a white peace sign over a black background, and changed the colors, and wrote "Paix" and "Amour" with a paintbrush tool.

 

I used 3DSMax to create my pictures....

Yes, I'm sorry it's because it doesn't work at the moment, it's not compatible with a few programs I have on, so I usually log on when I'm not doing anything else, or else, it fucks up. But we'll chat sometime soon, I usually log on at night
