lets see...... my mom was one of 10 kids...... and her cousin ended up having 13 kids (which would be my third cousins) I know alot of families that have 10+ kids in them, and they are all catholic.
I can not believe anyone can be so ignorant and selfish. Overpopulation is the source of most of the world's problems. The poster quoted above and that repreehensible breeder in the news obviously have no clue about sustainable ecosystems, no conscience about environmental issues, and no sense of purpose other than to create more problems. Culture must evolve away from these outdated modes of thought, or there will be no saving anything beautiful from humanity. China has a good start on the issue. Not a very kind approach, but effective. I suggest that we place huge tax burdens on anyone who has more than one child. Lets make it so that no one can afford to be such a selfish pig. I am certain that neither of these women have ever traveled to less developed countries unless it was in a completely sterilized tourist manner. Wake up! The world is grossly overpopulated to the point where our ecosystem is failing. This mentality costs us all. Take an environmental science course sometime before you curse the world with your selfish fecundity! Jim
Just maybe the world's problems are because people are to damn greedy According to the United Nations, the number of malnourished people increased from 540 million in 1979/81 to 580 million in 1989/1990. Since world population grew by 23 percent during the same period, the percentage of people hungry actually declined during this period. What this means is more than 90 percent of all people alive today receive enough food. Of those who don’t, according to the UN and World Bank, 90 percent of them are within 10 percent of their needed calorie total. The problem of hunger today is not lack of food, but interference with distribution of food. In Africa, for example, which has experienced the worst famines in the last quarter of the 20th century, people starved not because there wasn’t enough food, but because of the actions taken by governments there to keep food out of the hands of people. One of the best accomplishments of the 20th century is the near-eradication of famine. Famine caused 20 to 25 million deaths in the last quarter of the nineteenth century. For today’s larger population, a comparable number of famine deaths for the current 1975-2000 quarter of the century would be about 50 million people, yet the famine death toll for 1975-2000 is likely to be 2 million or fewer (Bailey 1995, p. 55). ***link to article about China's 1-child policy*** http://www.overpopulation.com/faq/population_control/one_child.html
this 16X mama must be your hero, huh squawkers? makes you look like a virgin, with your measly 7... but does the world really need 16 more Arkansans?
hahahahahahhahahahahaha hold on....hahahahahahahaha Thanks for your shitty post Jim and dont call me selfish when you obviously dont know what the word means...Since thats all your posts consists of...get some knowledge about what the real problem is with the world...its certainly not population you dink... You sound like a dumbass so therefore I wipe my ass with your post...good day...
he'd probably would flush his kids down the toilet.... That makes me want to have a dozen kids and name them all Jim...
and this statement.. I mean, what the hell... what a winner When will people let people do what they will in their own lives.. People complain about Bush, the government and so forth butting in their lives and trying to run them... But then this idiot comes along and tries to say people should only have one kids and that having kids is overpopluating us and blah blah... it pathetic.. Should we start killing kids as soon as they come out the womb cause the family already has one kid.. Get a life Jim, and if you dont want kids then dont..but dont try to call others selfish if they want children.. Trying fixing your life before trying to run someone elses...
you know, HE's not gonna have kids, because he sees the problem in a way we cannot grasp. he's such a self-sacrificing fellow, we should praise him for forgoing children....
Preparing to get flamed here... Many environmental issues stem from overpopulation. Our air for instance: the more people driving, the more CO2 is emitted into the air. Also, the more people in the United States (and other developed countries), the more nitrogen is emitted into the air thanks to our burning of coal for electricity. This then causes the rain to be more acidic. Causing a problem in our waterways and ecosystems in general. The more people on earth also means more water use. Water scarcity is going to be a problem in a few years if we aren't careful. Water will be fought over in the upcoming years, just like oil is currently And trash. Trash is another huge issue when talking about overpopulation in developed countries. I bet that woman with 16 kids uses disposable diapers. Where do those diapers go? In the trash. Where does the trash go? In landfills. Landfills are growing and we'll be swimming in trash. I wonder if that family recycles? Bottom line is, firelip/Jim is right. Overpopulation DOES contribute to environmental problems.
Well I'm sticking to what I said and thats all that matters...think what you want, and I will think the way I want to...ya know.. we can spew what we think back and forth but our opinions wont change...cause i know no matter how much info someone types out, Im going to stick to what I think...same with you as well...so its sorta pointless, ya know
It is really just simple math. Population grows exponentially, and food production grows linearly if at all. Land area is constant! Malthus was correct. It is only a matter of time until we all will face the problem regardless of how deep we bury our heads in the sand. If it does not happen in our lifetime, then it will in our children's or their childrens. If you care for your progeny, learn the basics of what is required to pass on a beautiful world to them! Mystical Shroom, you would definitely not have done well in my environmental science class! Those who will not learn doom their progeny to suffer the consequences of their willful ignorance!
i'm not gonna flame you. i just think the way he jumped up and down on shroom without really knowing her, her motivations and her concerns was amusing.
hahahaha, just when I thought the first part was funny.... I really feel sorry for you and basically anyone who is blessed with YOUR ignorance my friend... Now again go ahead and spew as much bullshit as you want out.. I dont care what you have to say, nothing will change that no matter how many times you call me ignorant or dumb in your subtle way... Just cause you take some lame ass class doesnt mean you know jack shit.. I could rant some pages in some book, doesnt mean crap... And again I wipe my ass with your post...
I think hes one of those people who love to hear themselves talk... and thinks cause he took a class and read some books that his intellect surpasses us all...
my reason is more in the line of the high risk and 50%'s I have no right at all to enter into the gene pool, it would be selfish of me and foolish, not to mention a little hypocritical if I ever absolutly need to pass on my knowledge and beliefs I can always go out and adopt a child when I'm olde, alternativly teaching what I know would also give me a lasting legacy....
hehe. you know, i just get annoyed with people who get shitty with other's who want lots of children. there's a whole slew of reasons we'll never understand or perceive that motivate other people. and here we are, trying to reach each other and teach each other not to be so judgemental and to learn tolerance, and someone starts jibbering like a cracked-out monkey and being sorta insulting instead of discussing their point. like shroom is easily offended or something! WTF? dancer annies take on it was lucid and non-insulting and non-confrontational. i know i'm shitty sometimes, but i DO eat crow when it's pointed out to me.
