i'm telling you guys, this is getting ridiculous! So i went to the city with my mate last night. We were just having a good time and all and then around 7.35pm we started walking down to the bus stop. It usually takes us around 20min to get there from where we were so we didn't worry much about not catching the bus (it was supposed to leave at 8, but it's usually a bit late). So we got there like 1 or 2min past 8 and the bus wasn't there.. so we just thought it hadn't arrived yet. But when we had waited for a while we asked someone who was there if it had already left. And what do you know, it came a bit early and left at 8! Typical or what?? And since this was the last bus we were stuck in the city. At first we didn't worry that much about it cause it has happened before and we've just called someone up and they would come and pick us up. So she called her brother and her mum but they couldn't come.. so we called my brother and my mum but they couldn't pick us up either. So we called a few other people but no one wanted to drive all the way to the city to get us cause the weather was pretty bad. So by that time we had realized that we weren't going home that night, we would have to find some place to stay. She called up her grannie and she said that we could stay with her and then we could just take the first bus in the morning so we could go to school. But then we had to figure out how the hell we were gonna get to her grannie's! So we made a few calls and finally my friends aunt agreed to drive us. We got to her grannies and got some hot chocolate and warm clothes (it was freezing outside!). We then took the first bus in the morning so i'm finally back home. But seriously, how unlucky can one person be? I missed the first 3 classes of the day and in the first two i had exams that i really couldn't miss.. All this and we just wanted to go and have a cup of coffee in a nice café...
Awwww poor you - thats horrible, i missed the last bus once - luckly where i live it takes about 1/2 to walk round so it didn't bother me at all lol, it's a bit shite that people wouldn't pick you up though poor you - at least you are safe and well though
yeah well i live in a town about 30min away from the city and you have to go over some bloody mountain and shit to get there.. and cause it was snowing and the streets were really icy last night i can kinda understand why they couldn't come and get us. it's kinda funny though, it's just so typical me
yeah i hope so too cause i really couldn't miss them.. i'm just gonna talk to my teachers later if i can get my ass to school lol
some people have worse luck, and your situation could have been worse. Gotta keep positive. In situations like that I always think to myself "this too shall pass". I figure, you gotta have the bad to appreciate the good.
theresa great exchange in one 'that 70's show' episode where the kid says "why am i so unlucky?" and his dad, Red, says "you're not unlucky, son, You're a dumbass."
yeah i know. i'm thankful that it wasn't worse than that.. i mean, i had a place to stay and i did get home eventually.. so it really wasn't that bad. i think it's funny as hell now lol so are you calling me a dumbass? well, i can't really argue with that
Awww sorry that had to suck. that happened to me a couple of times in my old town and I would end up walking home. 12 Miles! Not fun at midnight and stoned.
.....I don't think you have bad luck...... I don't think you have bad luck at all..... maybe something like minor leags unhappy luck..... bad luck....... when a wall falls on you, we'll talk......
This kind of stuff used to happen to me, always stranded without a ride. But now thankfully I can drive and am no longer stranded without a ride but nothing to do.
When I lived up in Chicago, I didn't have a car. Middle of winter, I had to walk to work in a foot of snow. I had to leave the house at 4:45 in the morning. Took me an hour (up hill both way, and barefoot, just kidding). You learn to walk fast and dress warm. Sometimes people would stop and give me a ride, met some really nice folk that way. I guess the point I am trying to make, is that there is good in the bad. If it weren't for me trying to brave the blizzards, I wouldn't have made some of the friends that I did.
