Pot smoker

    Hello everyone. I'm a pot smoker. I don't really drink that much anymore. To me a bowl is just my cocktail at the end of the workday. I'm self employed so my worklife is not affected. I am noticing wheezing and shortness of breath. This may still be a side effect of smoking Newports for 17 years ( recently quit 5 months ago). Aside from cardio exercise. I'm looking for ways to counterbalance the effects of marijuana on my lungs and overall health. One might just say quit but that's not going to happen. Any suggestions? Later.

    Beyond quitting perhaps you could try cutting down? Maybe take a break for a couple weeks? I smoked weed on and off for roughly 20 years and quit a little over 2 years ago after a nasty asthmsa-like condition presented itself- induced by a particularly harsh bowl hit. My bronchial tubes would close up as a reaction to smoke and a few times for no apparent reason. This problem persisted in a major way for over a year abating very slowly to where it's now minor though it's still very present.

    Other suggestions- try making a tea or find a decent brownie recipe. Give your lungs a break.

    If you quit smoking cigs, especially newports, ( woe those are like the worst man ) you'll be weezing and coughing up gunk n other shit for at least a year while your lungs clean themselves out. My advice to you as this what I do, cause no shit I ain't ever gonna stop either.. is to only smoke quality, none of that shwag bullshit, if you can grow your own, and smoke out of glass pipes or glass bongs with bottled spring water not tap water. and of coarse cut down, try not to puff everyday.:)

    Hey brotherflash, eat it it's a real mellow body high. First you must sauté it in butter, then mix in with a brownie, cake, cookies, etc. Kick back and enjoy.

    Let me extend the welcome mat. I recently found “The Hip Forums” myself and I know what it’s like to be a newcomer. You don’t really know what to say or how to act. Read some of the threads so you can get the gist of what topics are being discussed. When you feel comfortable jump right in and get your feet wet. Nobody here is going to “Flame” you, that just isn’t tolerated here (unless it’s necessary) lol. We get some assholes here who just want to stir up bad vibes... From what I’ve found so far is that we are one big family with many brothers and sisters. Once again the doors open come on in, open up your heart and mind, put on some groovy tunes, kick back and stay awhile. Peace & Love, DDR

    I gotta quit myself soon! Damn it! Ha! tobacco that is.
    If you're lungs are experiencing the quick clean out from cig's, you may want to try some simple " Qi Gong " a chineese no impact set of exercises to clean tocxins from your body effectively, I intend to use it myself shortly, I just got diagnosed with emphazema, and I have AIDS too, so i need all the help i can get.

    Google the qi gong to find videos to help yourself, the best of luck my brother.
