I got my rainbow guide in the mail today , and as i was looking through it I couldnt help but wonder: "where have all of the 'family' gone?". I remember the first time I ever got a rainbow guide. I met so many kynd sould through it. Thats how I found the beloved "Palm Tribe" I miss so well. I looked through the region that Florida is in and there was no sign of any of my beloved family, let alone mention of the "palm tribe" in general. Is it that the roots of our family is so scattered that alot of the originating rooted members are drowned out by all of the new comers and drainbows? I really am missing the family I cannot find.

Rainbow Dreamer,Rainbow is a fluid thing. It changes. The people you knew are still out there, maybe they just didn't list themselves now. It's not gone. I really think that 25,000 people can go to a gathering and leave with 25,000 different stories.

I haven't been to a gathering in years because of personal circumstances (my epilepsy has gotten worse, so I need to be near town and I can't get around so easily with kids, since I can't drive), but I know those folks are still out there.

I really don't think it's a matter of drainbows and newbies and such. Rainbow isn't a club, you know.

Anyway, they're out there, and so are new people. Have you tried posting on welcomehome.org or whatever it is?

When I got off the road I felt a real sense of loss because I no longer hooked up with everyone like I used to. Sometimes I still have the urge to hit the road, but it isn't to be. I know it's still there, though. Be a gathering unto yourself for now. :)

Folks who are confused about the rainbow guide: You send them a donation for a rainbow guide so that they can keep making them. People then use the donations to make more. It's nice of them to make the rainbow guide and if you send them a little money they can use it for materials and postage, etc. The rainbow guide is a thingy for people to put their contact info in so that people can get in touch with them if they're passing through, etc.
