Chatham County, Georgia's Alexander Davis, 19, faces felony charges stemming from his alleged August 25 fatal burning of a dog, Zoe, while reportedly burglarizing her guardian's Savannah home. According to news sources, Davis tossed the 1-year-old rat terrier in her guardian's oven and set it to 400°F. The dog's charred remains were apparently found by investigators hours later. The responsibility of prosecuting the accused falls upon the office of Spencer Lawton Jr., the district attorney for Georgia's Eastern Judicial Circuit. People who abuse animals rarely do so only once and almost never stop there. The community and its animals may well be at stake Please make sure that should George Alexander Davis be found guilty or entered into a plea deal on these charges, prosecutors work with the court to incarcerate him for the full five years behind bars that he would thus face, order him to undergo psychiatric evaluations and subsequent counseling at personal expense, and bar him from ever again having anything to do with animals in the state of Georgia. Impolite correspondence works against our efforts: The Honorable Spencer Lawton Jr. Office of the District Attorney, Eastern Judicial Circuit 133 Montgomery St. Savannah, GA 31401 912-652-7328 (fax)" -PETA I just wanted to add that I found Spencer Lawton Jr's email if that helps... OMG i shouldnt have read that. i cry everytime i hear another one of those stories that are so horrid....there are no words in the english language to really describe it. i have a one year old rat terrier... i will write the judge. thank you for posting this.
That is sick! That poor dog! I don't understand violence anyway, but how can someone kill an animal? They don't do certain things like humans do (ie murder).
