The fact is most gay guys dont dress or make them self such flamers . only a very small percentage do. The rest just act like normal people.
Sorry IntenseHeat, I didn't make myself clear. I wasn't referring to Paul Cadmus (a genius) or Sven de Rennes (don't know him,) I was referring to Shor and his relentless self promotion. You may not have run into him before. He has an a gay art site, that promotes his own art. (I have no problem with that) He has downloaded images from the net of the works of many great gay artists, like Cadmus, and he has summarized enough data so it actually looks like he is making a stab at writing some kind of gay art history. But It seems more obviously a ploy, to get folks to his site in hopes of reading gay art history, but really he wants you to buy his work. Isn't there a word for that? He has a gay art forum, but he seems to be the only person who ever posts at it. He has a Yahoo group, maybe two? and he's the only person who posts there too. And, like here, he seems to pop in to drop his link everywhere without offering much else. When does the dude get a chance to actually paint? Maybe I am missing something here. Could all his endless self-promotion of tired and pointless artwork actually be a statement in itself? Could this be a performance piece. Wow, things are coming into a much sharper focus, now. I get it. Shor's tireless promotion of his own drivel is a read on the gay mans inability to define himself outside of a hetro construct which constantly tries to remind him he is a shallow, self-aggrandizing, senseless boar. F'n brilliant, dude.
