Ok, I'm sure this has been asked plenty of times before but I guess now is my turn since I'm curious. I see a lot of different opinions on this forum based on a lot of different ideals so anyway I guess I wanted to see the statistics right here on my screen.

Between Anarchism, Comunism, Socialism or Capitalism, under which of these would you like to live your life under?

If you want to justify, please do but don't launch into a whole 2 page thing about it.

Personally, I choose Anarchism because I think it brings the most amount of equality to everyone and humans (and all other animals) are free do to whatever they want whenever they want.

Moderate Socialism - Provides the necessities for everyone, but economic freedom as well.

Yeah that's true stoned. But nothing's impossible. I think the U.S. is more likely to become socialist in the future then communist or anarchist, but again this is a poll about what you'd like to see instead of what you think'll happen.

Capitalism isnt a political system...it can be a democracy [UK] or it can be dictatorship [Iraq under Saddam]...

Anarchy is also hardly a system. it is lack-of-system

Anarchy = those with the biggest guns, and who are the best shot win. Survival of the fittest. Money has no worth except maybe to light a pillaged cigar.

Watch out what ya wish for.

It makes little matter what system I live under as a rational anarchist I chose which of the rules I will obey. I am willing to take the consequences if I do not obey. I am also willing to work to change the system to meet the needs of others and myself.

I believed Karl Marx used the words communism and socialism interchangeably. If there is a diffrence please explain.

in practice, and common lexicon, Communism has been used to describe the Dictatorship political system, with Centralized economics [USSR, Cuba] while Socialist is used to dexcribe the Democratic political system, with Centralized economics [Sweden, and to a lesser extent, Canada]

Going by the definition that Burbot just gave, I would choose socialism. Ideally, though, I would live with a very small tribe of people that all shared my ideals exactly.

personally ive thought about this and i dont think the ideal society could ever function when political systems are in place as it just leaves way too much room for curuption and can be easily exploited no matter what political system it is.

i really think in order to correct the problems society is faced with today drastic changes in peoples mindset have to take place and outside sources really arn't gonna make that happen it all has to take place within peoples deepest most thoughts and totally redefine there morals and there view on the world around them, sorta like leary was preaching to do back in the 60's turn on,tune in,and drop out.

ive often thought small communes and whatnot that are totally unreliant on the government could make such a thing take place as the more communes that opened up the more the traditional way of life would fade away eventualy losing its value as todays society is largely based on impulse, whatever someone has someone else wants.this is most likely attributed to the media and whatnot as there always advertising the newest thing and since people are so into materialism nowadays they get drawn into always chasing something they dont even need or particularily want except to feed there impulses.

hope i didn't derail the topic just thought i'd share my opinion on the whole political thing.

I agree with you on all the other issues but I have never seen a commune that was not parasitic on the society around it. Unless you go back to a complete substance economy, you are dependent on the outside social and economic system. When that plow blade needs to be replaced you are, morally at least, knee deep in the problems of the person who mined the ore, extracted the metal, fired the steel, etc. I also do not believe that anyone here would want to live in a substance lifestyle. I for one want to continue this global support system. That means I share some small part of Bill Gates’ sins. (Grin)

I think democracy is definetely the best system, when it is working correctly. When the people really are involved in the government and do more than just vote for elected officials, than it is a good system for the people. The only problem is that most people remain inactive and expect the system to just work itself out.
