I'm 25 and had this same issue a few months ago only I was sober. It happens, everyone has their moments/days. Give it another shot but try it sober this time. If it keep happening then get him some enzyte or someting.
He may have just been nervous. This same thing happened to me when I was 27 and was with my wife for the first time. I think I even said the same thing as he said (in my mind, I have to love the person, or at least think there is the possibility of a lasting relationship before I can get/keep it up). Do not be alarmed. Let him get use to you. First couple of times it will be bad but if you bear with him it will be great. Sucking him also helps a lot.
